Specialty drinks. Rolling menu. Fresh ingredients. Intimate dining. I have a feeling many MO legislators show up here. Ties and coats galore.

Waitress was too busy talking to other staff, our service was bad and the food was…. Ok

So I just attended a conference in Jeff City. The first night we had a group dinner at The Grand Cafe. We sampled a bunch of different appetizers and we all ordered all different types of meals. The menu was very eclectic and we all found something we wanted. Everyone agreed their food was delicious!! Service was spot on! So the second night a colleague and I were talking where we would go to dinner. I told her about the duck entree and other delicious meals that were enjoyed by my friends. She was like would you go a second night in a row. I told her yes I would!! So once again, my meal and service was spot on! We left today but heck I could have gone a third night in a row :) Outstanding! Well done all the way around!!

Jefferson City’s best restaurant! I come to Jeff City every couple of months and a friend takes me here. The Ribeye is my favorite and salmon is next. Try the tuna appetizer. Great wine selection. You will love the staff!

I ate here last fall and food and service were great. I visited 3 weeks ago on Friday, received my menu and ordered water as my beverage, I sat there for 15 minutes with no further communication with the waitress, she was holding conversation’s with the men that walked in and went to the bar, making it clear she was working a lot of hours and she was tired of it. I was tired as well so I left.

The Grand is such a comfortable place, full of friendly staff and (mostly) friendly customers. The food and drinks are very nicely done, with plenty of adventure to them. Breakroom frites border on life-altering.

We’ve eaten here three times over a year. The first time I ordered a Med Rare filet and it came out almost well done and mealy, the whole carrots had a nice look, but not cooked. The second time we shared the ribeye and it was good, once again vegetables were undercooked, almost raw. The third time I ordered the pork chop ordered medium and I specifically asked if it would be juicy and the waitress replied yes. It came out tough and well done. The next pork chop came out rare like sushi. I asked it to be seared a couple more minutes. A third pork chop was brought out with cold mashed potatoes and almost raw, undercooked vegetable medley of cauliflower, zucchini and broccoli, after my husband had already finished his meal. We were one of three tables so The Grand Cafe can’t blame it on being too busy. It’s apparent from reading other reviews, our experience is common and you never know how your entree will come out. They need a new chef! The menu looks good, but unfortunately the chef is very inconsistent and needs some basic cooking classes.

Always a great lunch and staff is very friendly. The menu is unique with delishes offerings. Very fresh. Drinks are mixed excellent every time. I will continue to frequent The Grand Cafe.

My first time being there. The food was just wonderful! The staff was very friendly and out waitress could have done a better job than she did. The inside was gorgeous and very nice! I will definitely be back again!

Nestled in the heart of Jefferson City, The Grand Cafe has an elegant yet industrial atmosphere that complements its exquisite menu. Each traditional dish is elevated in taste and presentation by its own unique twists. The cocktails and wines lists are expansive; you cannot go wrong. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to meet the needs of their customers. For years to come, The Grand Cafe will be one of my go to spots in Jefferson City, Missouri.
