As I new denture wearer, just getting used to her dentures I often have trouble eating foods that I haven't tried before. But being tired of what I know that I can eat without my dentures coming loose, I tried the roast beef. It was tender and I was able to cut it with my fork. Some of it was even shredded. I had no trouble eating it and it was delicious. Everything my husband and I had for supper that day was delicious. I also had a dessert that I had never tried or even heard of before. A raspberry lemon drop. It came out with a plastic form around it that you had to remove. The sponge cake was very tender and light with a hint of lemon flavor. The raspberry jam and lemon topping that was on it made it even better. But, to top it off, the white chocolate curls made it perfection.I will definitely go there again and would highly recommend it. The prices are also very reasonable.
Omlette was small, ingredients were all canned. It was edible. An older couple dining in the restaurant went to the door to the kitchen to get the attention of the staff that we were waiting to be seated, and that they needed drink refills. They get 2 stars, because they were only thing we found open, and slightly better than the alternative of going hungry.
I love our local Perkins. I've had a few not-so-great experiences with service, but 90 percent of the time it's a great visit and the food is always good!Coffee comes in a pot to stay at the table (flavored creamer is a plus!).Something on the menu for everyone. Comfy and cozy atmosphere.Sometimes we come for just dessert (pies, cakes, muffins, cookies, shakes, sundaes, etc). One of few places that serves food after 9pm in town.
Took 3 hrs to get seated and orders taken and by time we got done it was three hours . We watched a blue haired waitress walk off the job for over a half hr and then she walked back in just to collect the tips on the tables . But the busboy should have gotten the tip cuz he did more for the tables than she did. And he is the one that cleaned the tables and wiped them down ,not the waitress-- but she sure came in and got the tip . Was not fair to the guy that actually did the job.
My friends and I went to the Jeff location around 7:30 Friday night. The restaurant was fairly busy, and it took about 15 minutes for our waitress to approach. We asked for a few more moments to look over the desert menu, and she left. The waitress just left the building for almost an hour. No clue what she was doing, but that just left the manager to serve all the tables by herself and to attempt to take control of the situation. The waitress came back after an hour, no apology or anything and took our order. The manager came back about 20 minutes later and explained that the waitress just left again without placing our order. We had been there for almost 2 hours at this point, and our food hasn’t even been out in due to the waitress just leaving. The manager was very nice, and trying her best despite the situation. We got our food after 2 and a half hours of waiting. This seems to be a recurring problem, and is unfair to the manager as well as the other employee that was with her. We could also here the employee screaming at the manager in the kitchen from the dining room.
A group of 10 of us hit Perkins about 7:30 am. It wasn't very busy, but the manager was the only one working the front area. He was friendly and super efficient. Our meals came out hot and good. Kudos to the manager for keeping the place going as smoothly as he did with the staff shortages.
We have always enjoyed eating at Perkins when we are traveling. We went there a week ago and there was only one server for over 20 tables. I asked the server if there was management there and they told me that there was but in the back office. I am so displeased with management not coming out to help the over worked server with bussing tables, refilling coffee, and seating customers. I felt so bad for the server and actually helped wipe down tables. I will say our food was great and when the server did a fantastic job under the circumstances. BAD MANAGEMENT JEFF CITY!!!!
My daughter went here for brunch. It took about 10 minutes to be sat and it WASN'T busy. The manager was doing a job interview and the others were very much not in a rush. Once sat, after over 20 minutes, I had to ask the busser to find someone for us. The lack of concern or action for all the people, including us, who were trying to get their food was disappointing. The food was actually very good! I give the food a 4 and the customer care a 1.
Upon entering several employees passed us by no greetings or acknowledgment a lady in our party asked a young man bussing tables to seat us he hesitantly did. Food took forever to come . Not 1 but two servers asked if we needed syrup / water. We had to flag one down to get syrup to the table. It wasn't that busy but noone seemed to have an interest in working Food wasn't too bad
We had an amazing server (Jay). He was very efficient and got the busy crowd in and out. I believe he was the only server too!
