My husband and I just dined in Madison Cafe and were amazed how great everything was. Regrettably, we reside in Jefferson City for nine years without ever dining at Madison Cafe. We wish we had gone there sooner because the food, staff, and prices are really great. We will return to M.C. real soon.

Nice little local restaurant near the capital. We had a business lunch, which was a nice salad and lasagna. Their special price was very reasonable for the portion size, and service was fast and friendly.

Atmosphere was relaxing and the food was great! They had a gluten-free menu with fantastic selection of dishes to choose from which is hard to come by. Highly recommend!

great place...but bring back the oil and garlic for our bread!!

My husband and I and a friend brought mustangs up 2 Jefferson City 4 the Shelby fest. We always, always stop into Madison's. It is absolutely a favorite. Staff very friendly. Great food! Mmmm

3 1/2 Stars. I know it heresy to say this as a Jefferson City resident. But I will, it's Okay. It's never blew me away, it's never been on my short list of where you refer your out of town friends. I don't go here to celebrate, I don't crave it and I maybe eat here once or twice every couple of years when someone else wants to go there. Is it because I don't like Italian style food? No, I just feel that with as much hype as there is from the Madisons fan club; they should be better than okay.As I wrote this I finally figured out why I feel the way I do about them, and its because for the most part the food you get at the restaurant is as you expect from a catered meal. And That's okay. It's served hot, it's got a palletable taste that fills you up and the salads pretty good.

Come through fairly regularly, management staff is always incredibly rude towards us, but our regular server Amanda is always great. Came to celebrate my girlfriend’s 21st birthday tonight, she tries to order a drink with the temporary paper ID and the waiter was skeptical of it, which wouldn’t have been a problem but he handled it in a very rude manner, laughing at my girlfriend for trying to use a “fake.” Owner comes over and does the same thing until I intervene and explain that it is a legitimate state issued ID. Laughs in our faces and walks off. No apologies for the rude reactions even when we call to complain. More than likely won’t come back, the reaction from the owner seemed very discriminatory and rude.

Great!!! Food and great wine!!!

I bring a large business group to Madison’s every year and we spend a lot of money. We won’t be returning. Every year we get hassled about not being allowed to order ahead of time. I have even agreed to let them charge my credit card, so they don’t have to worry about me skipping out. We like to order ahead of time to speed the process up, help the kitchen staff because we usually arrive right before the lunch rush, and because we have a very long (several hours) ride back. I spoke to the owner and, although he allowed it this time, it appeared to upset him. The previous eight years we were denied this option. We always call and make a reservation several weeks ahead of time. I typically walk in with everyone’s order written out and asked that they put the order in 15 minutes prior to my group finishing their Governor’s mansion tour. So the group is literally a few hundred yards away. I guess someone else will get our $400 in the future. It is sad because the wait staff agree with my logic and the food and atmosphere are good. Our waitress, Laura, was very nice and efficient.

Fancy little place! Felt way under dressed, but if you’re wondering only the wait staff was dressed well on a Monday evening!Good selection of drinks (Martinis and what not) and lots of pasta options! I’m not a huge pasta fan myself, but it was tasty!Service was awesome. Even though I felt under dressed for the level of service!
