The variety was a 4 star, only reason for not being a 5 star was the majority of main dishes were chicken/shrimp/pork based. 2 star on quality of food products. The food texture and flavor tasted as though it was either left out or reheated, and since we were on site around noon for lunch, I would guess it was leftovers reheated. Price was very reasonable. We had 3 adults, 2 child under 9, three drinks and a water for $38 w/o tip.
The food was okay. It was not much different than the last 15 years. I paid but then the waitress yelled at me afterwards for keeping my copy of the receipt. She yelled at me to put my copy back on the table and whined that it was her signed copy. I thought it was better to leave the receipt with her since it meant so much to her and she thought we were in China so I had no American rights.
Really unexpectedly great place. The food was very good. Sushi was completely unexpected and delicious! I wish there had been more types of that. The stuffed mussels and coconut shrimp and the crab bake were all outstanding in my opinion. I wish I lived closer!
Two people can eat buffet for less than $25. We go every so often on Sunday afternoon. Food is always fresh & hot. Wide variety. People are always so nice.
My husband and I love this restaurant!! The peanut chicken is my favorite. The staff is always super friendly. Thank you Dragon Kitchen for the nice date night.
Always good but this time no fried rice crab Rangoon did not have hardly any filling in them and they were really chewy like they had been there for a long time. Other than that t was good especially the peanut butter chicken!
Food was good, hot, and always available. The waitstaff seemed very aggrevated that they had to serve me. My drink stayed empty most of the time, which wasn't really a bad thing because the ice tea tasted very old...like it sat out all day.
Had lunch with my seester and we enjoyed it all. Will say didn't care for the crab Rangoon which made me sad. But the Lo Mein was great!! Huge selection of desserts.
I WANT to like this place, since it seems to be the only Chinese BUFFET around, and we used to like it. It has gone way downhill in the last couple years. The eggrolls are tough like they use 3 wrappers at a time, no more fried fish, the noodles this time were like dry plain spaghetti noodles they were so bland and flavorless. There are always a FEW good items on the buffet (which is why 2 stars instead of 1) but you just never know which ones they will be any given time. Usually the service is decent at least. This time, however, the lady tried to seat us (a family of 4, 2 teenage girls and 2 BIG adults) in a booth right across from a booth that had a baby seat in a high chair at the end.? Why?! How awkward for everyone! It wasn't packed, there were plenty of other places to sit. When I asked to be seated somewhere else, she just looked at me like I was crazy. And didn't say anything. So I turned around and walked toward another section and just stood there. Finally she came and asked if a table nearby was ok. I said sure. Thank you. She took our drink orders then left. The server in that section only cleared our plates once, toward the end when it didn't really matter anymore, and never offered refills on our drinks. Not sure if it was because of the seating incident or not, but I think it might've been our last straw. Desperate for buffet or not we probably won't be back.
This review will be very short, direct and 100% honest & truthful. I have been a fan of oriental food for years. Probably have ate at every Chinese, Korean, and Thai restaurant from Jefferson City, up to Columbia and down to Rolla. Dragon Kitchen is my "go to" restaurant of choice. They have earned it. The following is not a false compliment; "Their food is so tasty it is a pleasure to sit back and enjoy. The variety goes from crab rangoo to sushi, from Vietnamese chicken to some very tasty shrimp dishes". Now here is big deal that I do believe is a fact and that is "The price you pay for what you get MAKES DRAGON KITCHEN VERY PROBABLY THE BEST BARGAIN (by far) THAT YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE!). And that's a fact.
