Asked waiter what portion size on light dinner and was told 4oz on fish. when got meal it was 2oz. Waiter should have checked. It was disappointing as service wasn't that good.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Ophelia's. It was pretty quiet for a Friday night, but that was kind of nice. We each had great salads. My companion had the beet salad and said it was delicious. I had the house salad, and it was very tasty. The flavor combinations with the vinaigrette and the olives and while cheddar were delicious. He had the steak and i had the lemon sole. Each had good accompaniments, and i really liked the carrots with mine. We shared a take on peach cobbler for dessert. Not too sweet. Just right. Service was professional and welcoming. A good experience. Maybe someday they begin having live music again.

This is a very good restaurant worth a trip. Good quality food

We were very disappointed in our meal which was the grilled salmon. The salmon itself was very good, however, the grilled peas were very bitter, and the rice was extremely bland. This meal is not up to the high standards of Ophelia's.

I tried something new. The fish was good as were the fries. I always enjoy my time at Ophelia's as it provides a nice calm to my busy days. Thank you.

Need a new Chef, 2 years ago awsome. Breads with butters. This year forst vist unedable so much salt on fish and chicken. This visit not much better. Still too much salt, tuna not fresh. Greens too much salt. Staff is awesome.

As we all know the pandemic has changed us all. Restaurants have seen immense change in service level and choices, increased employee pay, supply chain difficulties getting supplies and food, #of customers eating out, and the list goes on. Ophelia's remains a favorite, but I see how it is affected by the pandemic and economy. I pray for a day that we return to affordable, fine. dining with a consistent menu of tastiness and informed, committed servers/employees for the success of small businesses everywhere. This visit was not a "10" as in the past, but to no fault of the incredible owner, Cindy McClain. I still enjoyed the best brussel's sprouts in the land! I would give a word of caution that consistency of the menu items and the ambience were two notable differences this time. My food was not its usual and so my expectations were disappointed, and the piped in music was so loud that we felt like we were yelling to have a conversation across our table. It made me a bit sad, as I love supporting Ophelia's. Never-the-less I have my reservation for lunch next week there, and will continue to frequent and financial support my local businesses on the Historic Square because its worth it.

Such a delightful find during our visit to Independence. The whole historic area is filled with wonderful businesses, and we settled on Ophelia's for lunch. Each of us was very satisfied and, honestly, surprised by the freshness of the food. This is a restaurant that could compete with ones in much larger "foodie" cities. The service was top notch as was the decor. Don't know when I'll be back in Independence, but I'll visit Ophelia's again.

As always, delicious food, beautiful presentation, terrific service, and the jazz guitarist was just icing on a very good cake. Thanks! We will be back.
