I was surprised by and disappointed by my poor experience at this restaurant yesterday. The cashier was friendly, food came out quick, server was very friendly and polite. When we checked our to-go order, it was missing the entire hamburger meal. My strawberry shake was orange and sloshy..turns out it was an orange smoothie. I am not too concerned about the mistake, but the woman who gave our correct order had an attitude, did not apologize, acted annoyed and irritated. She provide the poor customer service experience and shaped my view of the franchise.
Might be good food but the pulling up and making you wait for 10 minutes after being in a drive thru line for 10 minutes is not necessary. Service should be faster especially when you see others getting their orders and leaving while you're still waiting and it was not special it was just 2 butter burgers. 20 minutes is uncalled for unless customers are going to order 25+. The lady at the window kept saying its just 2 minutes, and thats the longest 2 minutes ever.
What started out as a bad, disappointing and frustrating experience was turned around by the manager who was on duty the evening of May 17th. Went through the drive through paid and my sister and I were on my way just to discover no fries for my order no mustard and no utensils for her coleslaw and the was lukewarm. We went back. I went in asked for the manager and the young man was understanding and remorseful, he took charge of the situation he personally remade the order. We got hot fresh food, also he threw an applesauce and 2 coupons for a free dessert. This young man saved the day. That's what I call excellent customer service.
Great food, great service and clean restaurant. The burger was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. It is very good food for the price. I’ll be back.
Delish patty melt on sourdough. Had to try the pretzel bites...so good! And krinkle fries are mouth watering ?
Haven’t had this problem until recently the past few times I’ve gotten a chocolate shake it looks and taste like a vanilla shake every time I mention it to the employees they shrug me off or tell me I’m wrong so I included a picture of what I got versus what I should have got
Good was pretty good. I prefer the stateline location over the Independence. Same food but the food on stateline had more flavor and more juicy in a good way. Independence had great customer service but a little bland.
Found hairs in my burger container, obviously won't be going back. Dogs enjoyed the burger though, apparently it was good to them since I couldn't eat it.
Overall Culver’s in the Kansas City area has done a wonderful job during the pandemic, unfortunately the Independence location has fallen short again. Yesterday we went through the drive thru and none of the employees delivering to cars were masked. That was disappointing. We were masked to pay and receive the food. The gentleman that gave us our food was unmasked and leaned into our vehicle to take time to tell us a “joke.” We were stuck with our window down and unable to pull away with a car in front of us. Our masks, our waves goodbye, and our thank you’s were not enough to deter this man from continuing. I am sure the man was trying to be friendly, but other locations have managed to be friendly and safe at the same time. We won’t be back because we want to partner with organizations that are working towards a healthy community and the Independence Culver’s has disappointed us for the last time.
I had something very simple as the cod fish fillet sandwich. Even though it's just that one item, they treated it with care and great taste as if it was a whole meal. Look forward to going back again.
