Hadn't been for a while due to a disappointing experience but went on advice of a friend who regularly visits. However, was once again a disappointment. Meals were obviously done at different times, seemed one meal was left to sit as one meal was hot and other was just barely warm and had clearly been sitting a while. Chicken and noodles maybe had 5 pieces of shredded chicken in it. Hash browns were crispy on top, soggy inside, don't think were flipped or anything. Salad was pretty much a bowl of lettuce with a quarter of a tomato that wasn't cut up, 2 onion slices, 2 cucumber slices, and a few croutons. Portions were good size but quality not great.The server was very friendly and attentive, 5 starts for her.Have been repeatedly disappointed by B Bear just down the road so was hoping this would be a better experience here but was not. Have a lot of things on the menu that look worth trying but don't know if or when will make another visit here.
This is a nice place that has home cooking style food. Service was fine and food was what was to be expected. Yes I would return.
The Corner Cafe has become a tradition for us when in the Kansas City area. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal.
Stopped as a family, pretty early morning on a weekend. Got a seat right away. Our server was very friendly, and food came very quickly. Larger portion sizes. Food was great, and the place smelled amazing from the cinnamon rolls! Happiness!
Food taste great. Waitress did excellent job. Portion size good. But I ordered 2 BellyBuster cheeseburgers plain " meat & cheese ONLY it came with lettuce tomatoes & onion. They took it back & when they brought it back to us they simply removed toppings from container NOT acceptable the tomatoe juice & onion juice had already soaked into the bun. 4 attempts later they still forgot the extra cheese we paid extra for. & $2.99 for a soda is just wrong. Very busy place. Wait time for us waz 20min during dinner rush not to bad. The staff is quick & efficient. We will give this place 1more chance next time we pass through town but only because staff & taste waz good.
My husband and I had lunch while visiting the Truman Presidential Museum. Everything is made from scratch: Breaded tenderloins, huge yeast rolls, awesome coleslaw, wonderful sides. My husband had beef tips and noodles - they even make the egg noodles from scratch. For mid-western food with a touch of the South, it's an outstanding choice. They were just taking huge cinnamon rolls out of the oven. Enjoy. Great service too.
Special thanks to the manager today at this location that recognized there was a mistake made in the kitchen and made it right. Very professional and personable.

Samantha aka Sam was beyond amazing. Hospitable, professional, accommodating. The list goes on and on. My kids had the cheapest kid meals this side of the Mississippi. Wife raved about her egg whites and how everything was prepared. Of course I chose the chicken fried steak, and to say delicious would be an insult to how magnificent this dish was. It was marvelous, phenomenal, impeccable. From being sat to being fed, this experience will go down as the bar of excellence in breakfast dining. So if you are reading this to decide if you should eat here, let's see if it checks all of your boxes. Great food..check. Great atmosphere..check. Great service (ask for Sam)...double check.
