I loved the atmosphere, food and friendly staff. I was a woman traveling alone. I usually get food to go when traveling alone but I felt very comfortable here so I dined in. Friendly staff was the main reason, that, and the cool vibe atmosphere. But, most importantly, the food was fantastic. I had the chicken and turkey combination with 2 sides. So delicious, melt in your mouth meats.

we ordered food to go for our family dinner. it was done on time and the best bbq I've ever had.we ordered 2 lbs of brisket which was so perfect I feel like I have to brag.. and 5 pounds of pulled pork that was also amazing!!! so juicy and tender!!! we will definitely be back!!!
The food is delicious with ample portions, fair prices, attentive service near the Truman Presidential Library. Best of all they have senior portions and pricing! Would I return to dine here? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes.
Do not pass this place by. We ate at Jack Stack barbeque in kansas city which is supposed to be kansas city's best. This restaurant is 10 times better. Your taste buds will thank you. We had bbq pork and brisket, bith excellent.
Walked in this place and was nothing but good food, courtesy from start to finish. It looked like an old gas station and very nostalgic. We would definitely come back again. Oh and the burnt ends....so delicious and tender, the ribs like you have never seen. Everyone was very polite and we didn't have to want for anything. So glad we came to visit.
I'm very confused by all of the positive reviews here. This might be the worst barbecue I've ever had in the Kansas City area. The brisket was unbelievably dry and tough, like a well done steak. The flavor was pretty decent, but the texture was terrible. The fries were worse than fast food places.The staff was very nice though, and it's a fun environment.

The food was great - nice portions. I've eaten here several times and tried different entrees - everything has been wonderful. Some of the sides are unusual - love the spicy slaw and pea salad - having different options is great.
