The food was excellent!! My first time ordering, I ordered carryout. I ordered goat soup, sukuma wiki, and fried plantains. The plantains were a bit soft, for my taste. The flavor of the soup was very good, it was familiar to what I've had from another establishment. I love the greens, OMG ,they were very flavorful!!! I definitely will be back!! Thank you so much for service.
An amazing place to grab some excellent & healthy food, right here in the neighborhood! The first time I went in there, the owner took the time to explain the menu to me because I was new to West African cuisine. He brought out some meat & sauce sample for me to try. He was very nice & accommodating. Not only is the ownership kind, but the food is great! That is the recipe for success in the food service industry. Easy 5 star review.
I Tried House of Jollof for the 1st time today. I ordered Jollof rice with goat, and a side of plantains. The positives: the Jollof and goat were DELICIOUS! The negatives: my plantains were burned (I threw them away after tasting), and I only got 3 chunks of goat atop about 2-3 cups of Jollof rice. In all fairness, my food was presented to me before being bagged to leave, but I didn’t realized the plantains would taste burned. I will 100% go back, but will most likely choose a different protein so I can have more meat/rice ratio, and ask for my plantains to be cooked less. Thanks for the experience.
Oh my goodness I don’t know where to begin… here we go.. the food is simply amazing packing with delicious flavor.. I tried fufu & egusi w goat for the first time and let me be the first to tell you it was soo good ???? I just found my new fufu spot… I didn’t know what to order but CJ helped me out tremendously and was very patient with me.. he has excellent customer services skills ? this place is overall EXCELENTAYYYY
I have visited House of Jollof several times now and the food has been amazing every time. There aren't many places I know to get goat meat and House of Jollof does not disappoint. The catfish is also phenomenal.I hope this place is successful. The food is exceptional. I live a half hour away and have made the trek to get some jollof a few occasions so you know it's good.
I let the host know it was my first time here. He immediately asked if I wanted to try a sample of the jollof rice and the waakye rice. I love both. They are both delicious. I went with the jollof rice, got it topped with tofu and made it spicy. I also ordered fried plantains. DELICIOUS. The nice thing about making it spicy is that, it’s not that spicy. It’s more flavorful than anything. The ginger beer is phenomenal. I will definitely be coming here more frequently. Next time I’ll order the waakye rice. This Nigerian food is delicious.10/10.
The service was not good. I sat outside (curbside) for a long time after I called in to let them know I was there. No one ever came out then I just went inside and evidently the food was ready a while ago. By the time I got it home the food was cold so the taste was so-so. I would not order again. The food is pretty expensive and the prices are increasing due to market prices.
I live this place have the best plantan and jollof rice in point. Don't have hard liquor but they do have beers. They goat fufu was good to other places I had was tough.
Being in this restaurant itself brings the taste of Africa. The food they prepare is really Yummy and delicious! Their Sukumawiki and Fufu is marvelous! If you love Africa, please pay a visit and make sure you order your favorite African meal!
Been here a couple of times and always happy with the food! Service is great and they’re very open to answering questions for newcomers. Definitely going back soon!
