We came to town to do the Go Girls 1/2 marathon tomorrow. It had been easily 20+yrs, since I had been to Murry's. I was shocked it was still in business & even more surprised at how great the food was. We had the hot n spicy ?, garlic cheese bread & Philly chicken cheese steak all we beyond delicious. Plus our service was exceptional Ms. Avery was our 1st waitress, then the gentleman that took over from her was great as well! So happy to have a opportunity to visit this great local gem once again!
Great experience here! The calamari was very good as an appetizer. The Greek salads were delicious!! I had the pork chop which was a thick cut and tasty. My son had the salmon which he enjoyed very much. Our sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli were great too. Nice servers and atmosphere in the restaurant. You could tell it was a local favorite as it was busy for a Tuesday night.
Overall it was pretty good. Steak had a good char on it and had really good flavor. When I cut into it was like cutting into butter, very tender. The steak was $32 with no sides, unfortunately it wasn't worth the $32....it was good but not fantastic.
Came here with friends for lunch. The first thing I noticed was the tables were close together which made us feel cramped.Service was friendly but slow. Our drinks came out the same time as the appetizers. We ordered the Calamari and Buffalo Wings to start. The calamari was good, the wings however were dry, even with the sauce.I ordered the Chicken as my entree with the Butter Pasta as my side. The sauce that is topped with the chicken, I liked the taste, however, I felt it did not pair nicely with the flavor of the chicken.I was excited for the pasta but was disappointed as it was very bland, and did not eat more than a few bites. The other three in our group ordered burgers each stating that the burgers weren’t very seasoned and had no flavor. The ambience of this restaurant is what grabbed my attention. It was beautiful inside, with low lighting that was relaxing and staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable but unfortunately it did not reach our expectations.
Food was good ? ?. Service was a little on the short side and seemed upset or mad about something but otherwise I would recommend that you try it. Could have been having a bad day like we all do.
I'm afraid I am not a fan of Murry's. I went there this week with a group of ladies that get together once a month for lunch. I had not been to Murry's prior to this week for several years. In those years I have developed some food intolerance issues. The menu online and paper copy at the restaurant has no explanation of what is in your entree. Everything is a la carte. So, if you want a fillet of salmon ($14) and a salad ($6+) you are looking at a $20 lunch. The sandwiches looked really good and reasonably priced but, I cannot have bread.I did have the soup of the day, Southwest Chicken, which was excellent, and a salad that was mediocre at best.I was very disappointed with the online menu and quite surprised that they do not allow separate checks. Really? Unfortunate, just won't eat there.
Always excellent service, great food and mixed drinks are always perfect!
My wife and I had such a wonderful dinner last night. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. The wait was long but worthwhile. The food was extraordinary as always. The fact they can keep this type of consistency for decades is astounding. Can't wait to go back!
Absolutely outstanding food and service! Had blue chips garlic bread, and the double pork burger. So good! Great atmosphere and bar selection.
Love the atmosphere. Outside looks are deceiving. Upscale-ish menu with a wide variety. We just got wings and they were good. Most of the sauce was on the plate, but it was a good flavor and spice. We had good service sitting at the bar during a busy time.
