Where do I start?? From the AWESOME tasting food, the COOL cashier, the fact that it's Veteran-owned, the GREAT FOOD!!! YES, the food makes the competitor's price even MORE expensive (as Mad Cow prices are moderately priced in comparison (when WE visited there for dinner tonight at least). Will DEFINITELY stop by THIS burger place over ANY other when we return to the Columbia MO area!!

I just had lunch at Mad Cow for the first time since I don’t live in Columbia. I tried the large bacon cheeseburger with sautéed onions and mushrooms and a small fry. The burger and fries were seasoned perfectly and they have a cheese sauce dispenser on the counter. I would definitely come back when I’m in Columbia again. Highly recommended!

I went here because I had a craving for a burger. I didn't know what to think about a place named after a fatal disease (Mad Cow) but I tried it anyway. I got the bacon cheeseburger value meal for11 bucks. The value meal is served with a small (and I mean small fountain drink with freshly cut seasoned fries.. I managed to find my burger well hidden under a huge bun. The burger was actually pretty tasty and the fries were delicious. I left not full but satisfied. I think I will go back and try a sandwich with more beef.

Good burgers and great fries. Generous portions and fresh quality ingredients. Tables are always clean and staff is friendly.

Excellent meal served with a most exceptional display of courtesy and reverence.Their half portions more than satisfy... the meal deals are truly that... a deal. Go. Enjoy. Say hi. And if you have served, share that with them. It is a very good sign of respect- and they deserve it.

Outstanding burger and fries!

Wanted my boyfriend to try a new burger place, I hadn't been here in years. It was good! Similar to a Five Guys burger, but better fries. And the highlight for me was free cheese sauce ? we both enjoyed it, will go back! Happy this local place survived covid!

Burgers and fries were great, fresh toppings (and a wide variety)we were served quickly. Really not any more expensive than fast food chains and 10 times better! I also like the fact that this business is veteran owned!

Best burgers in town IMO! Never disappointed. Also, the free cheese sauce for fries, is a great bonus.

This place was highly recommended and I must say that it was a definite disappointment. I was told to make sure and order the cheese fries and funnel cake sticks. As a lifetime lover of funnel cakes I couldn't wait. The interior was very drab and lifeless. I can deal with that as long as the food is good. After the anticipation all I can say is the food was so-so. And at over $28 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 small sodas and an order of those funnel cake sticks I thought was pretty pricey. At least the food was hot. And those funnel cake sticks? Disappointing
