I got the s'mores frappe and it was delicious. I look forward to trying something else here. Only 25 cents to add an additional shot of espresso, but it was still too sweet for me so I'd probably add 3 extra shots lol. I didn't find anything on the food menu I wanted though.
This place has really gone downhill. It used to be my favorite place in town but they changed their menu and have just ordinary sandwiches instead of the delicious paninis. The final straw came when my fiance and I walked over for a drink on the patio and was told that they couldn't sell us alcohol because no one working was 21. Having a drink on their patio on a summer evening was one of or favorite activities but I guess that is ruined too.
Love our south side Lakota!! The staff are always kind and helpful. When I order through the ap, my drinks are always ready when I arrive. Working across the street has been dangerous for my pocketbook, but thoroughly enjoyed! Keep up the awesome work guys!!
I love Lakota, but it's so incredibly off-putting when employees ask you to tip them in the drive thru line. I can understand having a tip jar and giving you the option, but I'm a person that cannot say no to anyone and when every time you go, employees ask "would you like to leave a tip for me?" It makes the experience so awkward. I've actually stopped going altogether because of it.
We have visited the kiosk at the MU hospital several times over the past few months. It seems that the employee's preferer to visit with one another about their personal lives that stick with doing what they are there for. Yesterday at about 2pm we stopped and make a purchase. We asked for a cold product, and it was delivered warm. While it was being made, chatter went on about someone's grandpa's burial ashes. This type of thing goes on every time we visit. As a result, we will no longer make purchases from this location.
I ordered a chai tea. It was yummy ? also environment was nice and calm.
Always a great place to rest and restore. This trip was just to buy a gift card for a going away present. In and out and very convenient! Thank you for having great service!

The cashier misrang the order, over charging us, and was unable, by his own admission, did not know how, to correct it. Another person told us the charge could not be stopped, the only option was to pay, be refunded, then pay again. With no other option offered, I agreed. The refund was entered, but I was told I it would go through anyway.The fact that this location caters to the college set also sets a precedent of slopshot money exchanges and unhelpful, pandering and unwelcomed cold cashier interactions. Lovely for a coffee shop next to a laundromat.Remember young earthlings, one day, if you are fortunate enough to encompass the old generation title, you may want to look at how you see things now- it matters.Oh, we shall find another coffee place; there are many.
This is my favorite coffee shop, the drinks are great and the service is awesome. The manager Amanda is fantastic! She is so friendly and gives great recommendations.
