Wonderful variety of sushi, maki rolls, noodles, and great service from the hostess to the service at the table. The food is on par if not better than many top sushi restaurants in Chicago where I live, and that is saying a lot! Jina is generally at the restaurant, visits tables regularly and knows many of her customers on a first name basis. A great dining experience with a personal touch only the best restaurants in Columbia offer. Thanks Jina!
It was busy but we were seated right away. the wait staff were friendly, but seemed to be assigned tables across the restaurant, so they couldn't pay attention well to all their tables. Our Pork Gyosa was good and fresh. The Oi fish was cooked well, but was over pepper and salted. The sushi was tasty, but the rice was to dry. The creme Brule was delicious, but the custard wasn't fully set. The watermelon Sorbet was excellent, fresh and refreshing.
I'm here for a family meal on my wedding anniversary. Food, atmosphere, taste. It was great. The staff were so kind. The boss came and recommended food and welcomed us. Thank you, Jina Yoo!
Went here for a friend's birthday and had an amazing dinner! The atmosphere was great, I loved my sushi, and Hiromi was an excellent server. She made my friend feel so special on her birthday, and made us all laugh! Will definitely return in the future.
I loved Jina Yoo's first time I ate there a couple of years ago. A few months ago, I ordered food delivered to my home and it wasn't the same. I thought it's because it was a takeaway. Last week, I took my children for their pre birthday celebration to Jina Yoo's and it was a huge disappointment. Food had no flavor, no taste. Super sweet, and poor quality. I think either they've changed their cooks or they are using cheap ingredients. We ordered 5 different things and only 1 was okay. I am never going to Jina Yoo's again. It's a shame how much I loved it the first time.
Pretty disappointed with the service tonight. Our table was apparently “forgotten about” according to our waitress. Sat down at 6:30 for a table that we had reservations for. We waited at least 30 minutes before even being acknowledged. The table next to us was seated and served in that time frame. Finally got served but the server did not come to our table after. Never have I ever had to go to the bar for drinks in the middle of my dinner, until tonight. Food served 2 hours after sitting down. Finally got the checks after asking twice for them, and automatic gratuity was placed. Terrible experience tonight.
Everything we ordered was very good. The best I can describe is Jina Yoo's makes sushi for people who may not be super fond of fish or not sure about raw fish. All fish was very mild, and we got a variety of recommended rolls from the menu. Drinks were good, too!
It was a very nice atmosphere food was great. Was really disappointed how the owner walked around and checked on customers that were there but never came to our table. In fact she walked pass our table and snatched the straw paper off the table and never said hello or anything. As I said before was really disappointed because I’ve heard nothing but good things about the owner.
Best sushi I've ever had. Specialty rolls have layers of flavor. Madre de Dragon, Sin City, and Sun West are my recommendations. Staff is professional and friendly
Tried some of the sushi options, fried rice, and pad thai. Typical American style sushi but the Mr Miyagi roll was actually pretty good. Fried rice was also good, didn't taste too salty or oily. Pad thai was alright but might've been better if ordered spicier. Service was alright for a busy Saturday night. The restaurant had mood lighting for the evening too.
