We were stopping in for lunch before heading back to St. Louis from our short trip to KC. Suggested from a local at Pete’s Cat Cafe, we decided to give it a try. It was well worth it! Our food was delicious, served quickly, and considerably large portions for a lunch selection. Service was consistent throughout, and they were happy to help with anything we needed. As we were leaving my little one seemed upset because she wanted more rice (even after eating her whole portion lol) and to my surprise we were stopped at the door with a to-go tin full of rice. Their thoughtfulness ensured we had a happy camper after leaving, with a full belly :)Give them a try!!
It is located in downtown Columbia, MO. It's a Mexican restaurant in town. A nice place to dine both indoor and outdoor. I had fajitas and margarita. Fajitas is a little bit salty but margarita is really good. I recommend this restaurant.
The food was amazing and so were the margaritas! Everything tasted fresh and the staff were super friendly!
Decent food, portions can be a really good value, and the service was excellent.Chips and salsa were fresh. I asked for the extra spicy and green salsas and enjoyed them. Molcajete was HUGE and a great value, but had a slightly bitter taste in the sauce. Wife's burrito was ok, but we expected it to come with some sides for the price. We went at a slow time (Sat at 11:30 after students had left) and we had two servers clambering to make sure we never hit below half drinks or chips.Worth a try.
I ordered through grub hub and asked for no dairy due to an allergy. When the food came covered in sour cream, I called the restaurant to let them know expecting them to tell me there was nothing they could do. The manager checked my order, had the kitchen remake it and personally delivered it to me. The best customer service I’ve ever received and the food was delicious. The rice and beans were AMAZING!
Good service for college students but seems to be slower for adults. Good food and plenty of it. Service was good.
Me and mi amigos were in town for an ultimate frisbee tournament and were craving some Mexican delicacies. We decided to pull up to this establishment and they were happy to accommodate for 20 throbbing men. The chips and salsa were decent and our food overall was solid. A rambunctiously enjoyable time was had by each member of our wonderfully unique team. Thank you for the memories El Oso.
El Oso is the best restaurant in Columbia for the price and quality. They have the best horchata in Columbia hands down!! Best tacos with the quality meat and flavor. Highly recommend this place for anyone who wants something tasty and with great service.
I only gave 4 stars due to the price. I got 4 tacos and they were 2.50 each, which is a little steep for tacos in my opinion. Other than that tacos were good and staff was nice.
This is, so far, the best Mexican food in CoMo that we've been able to find. Most of our meals here have been good. The only downside is, like other local Mexican places, the meat is fatty and tough, full of the connective tissue most places would cut away and discard. It makes food that otherwise tastes good, seem really lousy. So please, stop using bargain scrap chicken and pork etc. and serve customers decent cuts of meat in your food.
