I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious their food is. I ordered the salad and tacos. Salad was on point. Big pieces of bacon, fresh spring greens and an amazing bluecheese dressing. Tacos with pulled pork…ahhmazing. Staff was super nice and place was very clean. Don’t let the name fool you.
Our food took 30 minutes to get to us, when it finally did, my dads was burnt. The staff was odd and greeted us in a strange way. I will not be returning.
Had the Gonzo bread, very different, very good. Definitely be back, service was good and beer cold!
The owner didn't deserve this review, the waitstaff did. The owner has worked so hard to bring it up to what it has become. I didn't see her there today. All I saw was a waitstaff being proud to tell a table (not us) to never come back for being so ungrateful their food didn't show up until an hour and a half late (as did ours). A waitress that never asked if we wanted any napkins, salt, pepper, mimosas, straws, you name it, she forgot it, even our order.....we waited over 2 hours for food. Had to goto the bar to get refills on everything. She never asked how we were doing, nothing. Seating and serving people after us with food. Half our table got food, while the rest had to wait another 45 minutes for ours. Talk about ruining mothers day... we thought if we got there early things would work out...showed up at 10, got served at noon (went for brunch, ate at lunch). The drinks were severely inconsistent, the omelet came with onions, peppers, and tomatoes all of which I ordered off of it. I ordered bacon in it (did not come in it). Just a total fail on mothers day, whiny kids due to hunger, whiny moms, due to hunger etc. Literally went to my car and cried I was so hungry and overwhelmed. Never again.
Had brunch at the Dive bar this morning. Ordered Chixen N' Waffle.....yes, spelled correctly according to their menu. Be aware before ordering this...the so-called "chicken" is actually 'bits' of something cooked into the waffle batter. I'm serious! On the bright side, they had a large selection of mimosa options ?. I guess my expectation of brunch was a little off the mark, afterall, it was a dive bar! Here's a pic.....decide for yourself. They do have other 'brunch' items on their menu.
A friend and I were on our way to St. Louis and decided to stop at Dive Bar for lunch based off the reviews. Let me just say the 5-star reviews don't give it justice. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Bobbie our waitress provided exceptional service. I had the best Old Fashioned at a bar yet, and the food was phenomenal. Great people. Definitely stop by!
Chicken street tacos are delightful. Perfect amount of all ingredients & the flavor is so yummy. Just the right amount of crunch. ?
Wow, what a great place! Truly a fun bar /restaurant. It’s no upscale eatery, but remarkably good food for a “Dive Bar”. But I think that’s the whole gist of the place!Today’s visit had slow food service, overall a great experience!
This is a little hidden gem in Columbia. Great food, cocktails and location. Definitely one of my new favorites, can't believe I didn't go here sooner!
I ordered chicken alfredo from there and this was my chicken.. I called and the guy said it's not raw, it's just how they cook it. You be the judge.
