It’s very shady of them to normally charge $11.50 on a Sunday afternoon, but yet they raise the price to $17 plus tax for any special holiday… like Mother’s Day. I have never seen or heard of a restaurant doing this and it’s very disappointing. I like their food, but I think that is an unethical business decision.
We loved this place! Never ate here before and the food was very good. It was warm, staff were very friendly. And!! The atmosphere! So pretty!! This reminds me of what a Chinese restaurant use to look like pre covid and when it's well kept!
I have to start this review with the entrance to this restaurant. The entrance is not apparent as you approach. We turned too early and had to turn around and try again. Look for the tiny sign that says entrance to China Garden. Plenty of seating in this restaurant, you could probably bring your whole family. The sushi bar has a large selection, with some good options. I loved the crab salad roll. Now to the less pleasant, the rest of the food. Just about everything was slightly overcooked and really oily. I eat Chinese a lot and I am not a fan of oily chicken. It wasn't the sauce, but the oil. The egg rolls were very dark. The restaurant was clean and the staff were super friendly. If I come back, I'll just use the hibachi and sushi, and leave the rest of the buffet alone.
Amazing service! Me and my wife love it here. Its so cheap and affordable and still amazing quality food. Anyone who rates this place low is just being unfairly spiteful for no reason.
The receptionist was cheery and nice. The food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and warm. However, some people will balk at the $30 for two price. Like many Chinese restaurants. This business doesn't offer a discount to veterans.
A very nice place. The food is wonderful. They have enough variety that my husband does not fuss about us eating there. They have a delicious roast beef, a variety of chicken dishes, a variety of shrimp. Makes him very happy. I am quite fond of the beef and chicken. But I love the traditional Chinese dishes as well. The atmosphere is quite charming. They have a lovely in house pond with beautiful Koi fish. The bubbling water is soothing to my being. Our waiter was a lovely young man. He attended to us very nicely.
I truly enjoyed my 1st experience at China Garden. It was not at all how I expected. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. I couldn't get over how hot the food temperature was, unlike other buffet lines I've been to. The place was beautiful, and peaceful, very soothing while I ate. Speaking of eating, all the food that I ate was on point, very delicious!!! I am looking forward to my next visit to them.
Long wait and poor selection! Please be advised! All hype no foods variations!! $16.99 plus a soda that I didn’t get a refill on till I was leaving- $21 bucks out the door. They promote a seafood selection yet they only had 4 entree’s to choose from and NO crab legs now at all as well! What has happened to this place? More money to eat now and less food and less of a selection too? Just ridiculous if you have been here in the past years it is not the same. The service has also taken a nose dive, no one worried about the customers at the door; stood there with no greeting and then when set the server was no where and didn’t check on me once? If you want a tip and think you deserve one then maybe you should work for it?! Be friendly and hospitable as well as check on your tables. I needed a knife. Just sad. Was excited too! Poor experience and even poorer foods. And are those frozen egg rolls? Man oh man.
I travel quite a bit and in almost every mid sized town I visit is a place like this. I keep hoping to find a really good Chinese buffet, but this place is not one of them. Mediocre food, often cold, often mislabeled and without notices that the dish is spicy. In addition, Friday is the "weekend" when they charge extra and only noted on a very small sign. If you want some place cleaner with fresh food and helpful staff, try Taco Bell across the street.
I drive truck and I had to park a little bit away like I always had to do. I always ask for permittion from tge place I park, just the polite thing to do. I've not been the for a while, but I wasn't disappointed when I went there this time. It was good food and the waitress was very attentive. Very nice place.
