Not my jam at all. No plates, no silverware, no side dishes. I wasn't prepared for all that lol. We paid $26 for 3 small burgers, a water, and a lemonade. And it was NOT worth it. ? The waitress was super nice though! ??♀️
These burgers are at the top of the burger game. Too many places try to make their burgers all fancy and they end up overthinking the burger and ultimately ruining the burger. Not Booche's. They're some real burger purists and its a rare sight today.The Fat Sally was really good to. They split the dog down the middle and add a generous amount of their house chili and sauerkraut. The chili was simple albeit very tasty and obviously made with love. Great experience.
Advertised as some of the best burgers around.. honestly tasted like one of the worst burgers I’ve ever had (not that it tasted bad). At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
Great burgers, great atmosphere. But burgers are small enough that you probably want more than one, and they don't really have sides. For pure taste, excellent, but for overall capacity to serve a good lunch, a little less so. I'm sure I'll be back anyway, though
We dropped by because we saw anad that they had best burgers in town. It was a small burger and it was dry. My bun was stale. They didn't serve it on a plate 9n anything just a half wrapped burger the rude waitress flopped down on the table. We won't be back was not impressed. Wished it lived up to the hype but realized that sometimes hype is just hype.
Love Booches. They have the best tasting burgers. Atmosphere is nice and love the decor.
Very cool history with a very simple menu. The bar is from the late 1800's and they still have the old pool hall equipment in place. My kid even made a phone call on the pay phone that still works!
What can you say about this place other than it’s an absolute gem, friendly lively atmosphere, and the burgers are fantastic. Maybe don’t forget their terrific pork sandwich? Most college campuses have had places like this torn down to make room for some thing like a Panera, I hope this place stays here in Columbia forever.
The absolute best burgers in town. Get a couple of cheeseburgers just the way they serve them add a cup of chili. Then sit back and enjoy the history of building. Remember to bring cash though. No debit/ Credit card.
Great old school pool hall and they even have 2 snooker tables. Well tended bar and amazing burgers of the grill--dont be too precious, no plates or silverware! I learned to play pool here in the mid nighties, and dad played here in the seventies during law school. A hidden gem with zero pretention, and lots of great regulars.
