Watched the owners take two little white dogs in for a holiday dinner with family while the restaurant was closed but that is disgusting and nasty. Watch out if you eat there I won't anymore. They kept watching us so I know they know we saw them. NASTY
Like the atmosphere. And my waitress Jasmine was great.Today I had a New York style pizza, but they also have St. Louis an Chicago syltyle as well. I really like their Chicago style, I think it's the best I've had locally since Uno's closed their St. Louis locations. (Not really a fan of Pi)Their mozzarella sticks are the same generic, out of a bag sort that most places have, but at least they're served properly hot.
Good food, and okay service but beware of additional charges! Our check said there would be a 3.5 percent charge on credit card transactions for each item. This was before we even presented the card. When we asked our server, she said the additional charge would “probably” go away if we paid cash. Probably?!?!?We were given a new check with a slightly lower amount, but would we have even been given that if we didn’t ask?Why is a restaurant this size processing cards like that? I could understand using Square or similar app for a small business, but not for a restaurant. How much money are they stealing from customers, either paying with a card or cash, without them even realizing it happened? Why not just raise prices by 3 or 4 percent?Food was good, and I was prepared to come back again, but not after this. It just felt shady and bizzare.A very odd business practice, if you ask me.
My husband and I went for lunch today and had an excellent experience despite there being only 2 employees there when we arrived. One was serving and the other was cooking and serving. I felt bad for them not having any help but we would never have known they were lacking help had we not been told. The service and food quality was EXCELLENT! More and more customers kept coming in for lunch but the service remained consistently wonderful. We were seated right away, our order taken promptly, and our food arrived quicker than sometimes it has in the past with many employees there. We ordered the all you can eat pizza, pasta, and salad and everything tasted delicious. Right before we left, another server arrived to help them thankfully but the two people there the whole time ( a man and a young woman) deserve praise for all their hard work and remaining calm and pleasant in a less than ideal situation. Thank you for a great lunch today!
Ordered the Super with no green peppers but add black olives. I have been working in the St Louis area for 4 weeks and finally got a pizza I would order again. St Louis style crust was perfect!! Come hungry the small is definitely for 2
Great food but the service is severely lacking. The staff is not knowledgeable about the menu, they aren't very professional, and they will definitely forget about you when dining in (drink refills are rare!). The staff means well, but whomever trains them does not do a good job.All that being said, the food is very good; their salad, tortellini, and pizza are all worth trying. So, expect good food, but know that the service will not be good.
The food was great and the delivery was fast. The pizza had great flavor. The only issue we had was the deep dish pizza toppings slid to one side and even started to come off. Which is probably not from the restaurant. We will definitely try it again.
Just moved to St. Louis area from northern Chicago burbs. A coworker highly recommended Talayna's and we were not disappointed! Chicago style pizza was delicious and came close to a favorite we miss in IL. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items! Service and ambiance was wonderful!
Ordered pizza and some garlic bread for pickup. The pizza was ok. The service was excellent. Lots of room inside for social distancing and about 5 tables outside when weather is nice.
For years Talayna’s has been one of my favorite restaurants and my most recent visit was no different.
