First time customer. Ordered a cheeseburger while the wife ordered a wrap. Very good! Looking forward to our next visit.
I'm always happy to go here for lunch when I'm in the area. They seem to always have some kind of special going that's not on the menu, and it's usually quite good. The photo shows their Chicken BLT, with a side of fries. Now who would have thought to put a chicken breast on a BLT? It was actually a great combination. And the fries? They were done perfectly - possibly the best I've ever had! Satchmo's is my go-to place for lunch in this area.
Was out in Chesterfield having a quick bite with a friend and we decided on Satchmo’s, Wednesday night they have a steak special that is pretty good. They also have other weekly specials, live music on the weekends, outdoor seating in the front and a decent selection of beers.
Mother load!! My steak was not cooked med/well had to send back and still not right. Mashed potatoes were good. For the love of God the bathroom smelled like a truck driver used it and it was dirty. Nobody was there but the Mexican restaurant next was busy busy. Should of been a clue. I good on that bar food?
There were 4 of us, we got drinks and 2 appetizers and then we were forgotten. There was only bartender and our waitress was very sweet but had too many tables watch. We ordered another round of drinks and dinner. It took forever to get our order. The Preakness was on the TV and a Blues game followed. The bar was full and it seemed the staff was overwhelmed. When we finally got our food it was only warm. It was very disappointing.
I had the Tavern Burger with swiss. Food was okay. Service was good.
I understand there are staffing issues everywhere. Our food took a long time and it wasn’t very busy. Some food came out way after others did. The steak didn’t have much flavor. Some food was really hot, some was just warm. The server was great and very attentive.
Waitress was nice but waited for food over 45 minutes. 3 meals . First one was good but they forgot bacon for the burger but brought it out. Next one steak salad steak couldn't even chew. Last one didn't even come out with the other 2 meals because they had to remake it. It was chicken nachos. Very disgusting. He didn't eat them he went next door to Mexican restaurant to order some. Not a good experience. Definitely won't be back
Ordered the Gator Bites and Lobster Ravioli TRav. Both were excellent. The Gator bites were meaty with a crunchy breading and the two sauces served with it were very complimentary and added just the right flavor. The TRav was a toasted ravioli stuffed with Lobster meat and had a creamed pasta served on top. These were appetizers. The fish & Chips were average, but still complete my wife and I meal. The atmosphere was a neighborhood vibe, but still not awkward for the out of towners, and the service was pleasant and timely.
Small but fun place. Good music and good food. Each day has its own special of the day food item.
