Waiter came to our table with food in hand eating. Waiter did not bring out App until entrees were ready so everything came out at once cold . For the time we waited food should have been hot but it wasnât. To make matters even worst We were coming for brunch but they had no sausage in the waffle maker was not working very poor quality overall will not have to go back
Awesome time
Everything was fine except our booth sheets were all cracked and tore up. We had to sit on the very end to find a comfortable spot. I have never seen booths in this much need of repair. They need to totally replace them.
Waited over an hour after ordering and they had not started meal preparations. Several of us paid our drink bill and left. Been there many times but I think this venue is done.
Nothing was as described on the menu (food and drinks); mimosas were 90% juice; it was an hour before we ordered food; 20 minutes after ordering we were told they were out of several items and we had to order something else; food took 1.5 hours and we ended up having to cancel our orders and leave to be at an event on time. Not to mention the floors were so greasy/slippery, it was dangerous to even walk.
We enjoyed a family lunch here. Sarah our waitress rocked! If your ever in the STL stop in! The food was definitely on point and the servings are BIG, you get what you pay for!
The Brick House used to be our go to spot for holidays. It has always been open and the service was good and the food was good. Today was much different. The service was horrible. It may have been the worst service that I have ever experienced. We were seated right away, which was a good thing, but the bench in our booth had a huge hole in it and was worn out. This place needs some refurbishment. Our waitress, Haley (sp), took ten minutes to come to our table and when we ordered drinks we ordered apps. She said do you want to go ahead and order our food and we said that we would order in a few minutes. Another twenty minutes go by and she came by with small plates for our appetizer, which we had already finished. The cheese sticks were good by the way. So then we ordered a cheeseburger, fish and chips and lobster mac and cheese. An hour later she came by yo tell is our food was almost ready. Twenty minutes later went by and still nothing. So we told the bartender we wanted to see our waitress. We saw him point her out to us, but she went out of her way to avoid us. We then asked the bartender to get the manager, but after ten minutes I threw a $20 on the table and left. Our waitress knew we were upset, but would not look at us. She made big circles to avoid us. She was rude to us from the time we sat down. Weâre very disappointed and wonât be back.By the way we never did see a manager. Poorly run!!
There were 6 of us for Fatherâs Day. Enjoyed our get together but 5 of us were unhappy w the food. Disappointing because I liked the place in the past for happy hour. We did have 2 appetizers which were great.
Had passed by this place several times and finally decided to try it out. Checked-in with hostess only to be told A/C was not working; decided to stay as it thankfully wasn't too hot. Sat in "couch" tables in the middle of dining room. Tabletops were substantially higher than seating level which made quite a stretch to grab drinks/food etc. Also noted that upholstery of the couches was torn/ripped, and generally in need of replacing. One server for entire area, other staff seemed to pop out of the kitchen and then disappear; since they appeared plain-clothed without uniforms or nametags, it was difficult to figure out who worked for the restaurant. As for service, while I could tell there was a shortage of staff, there was no attempt to offer refills or get anything else: orders taken, drinks finally brought out, food brought out; asked if we wanted check. Food was okay, ordered burger and fries, but of note that the fries that we were served looked nothing like the menu and tasted/looked like the kind you pick up from Schnucks in the freezer.
Went to this restaurant with a group and they refused to seat us- said we had too many people. And no we weren’t rowdy or have a huge group. Wouldn’t even put us a on waitlist. We asked to be broken into small tables with our families and they refused. Said they couldn’t accommodate 20 people at any time. So what if 5 different families of 4 came in? Will you refuse to seat them? Manager was very rude. That’s ok we took our money across the street. Good luck getting served if you have over 2 people. Or maybe even at all.
