Great atmosphere! Great Service by Rachel and Jerry Ann! Top shelf Long Island ice teas are a must! Great place to come and hang out with friends!

We visited Bar Louie for the very first time a few days ago. We got the Buffalo Chicken flatbread and the calamari to share. DELICIOUS!!!! We also had a few drinks at the bar. Graycen helped us and she was so attentive and kind. We’re definitely adding this place to the rotation and will be back!

After many good visits to this location, I has horrified by the service on Tuesday during happy hour. While waiting for our table we went to the bar to grab drinks. After waiting for 30 minutes trying to flag down either of 2 bartenders, I gave up on the hope of quenching my thirst. They barely acknowledged me and when they did it was to motion they were going to help someone else first - still I waited. The worst part was the attitude from the hostess. Instead of explaining their capacity issues and offering what they could do for us, she spoke with such content and sarcasm that none felt welcome. Apparently during happy hour they no longer accept groups larger than 8. We were open to splitting up or sitting at the bar, but she said "only if there's room" as if that wasn't obvious. Meanwhile, we were looking at 6+ unused tables and plenty of seats. I heard a server nicely explain to her table that the kitchen was backed up. That would be fine - we were there for happy hour. We left and went a couple doors down where we were served pleasantly. We watched several other parties leave as well.

We have been to the Chesterfield Bar Louie many times. The cocktails have always been good and the food, although not fancy, has always been solid. But we have noticed that, perhaps due to the difficulty in finding servers, the service has declined recently. My wife and daughter stopped by for lunch on a recent Saturday afternoon. Shortly after they sat down on the outside patio, the waitress came by to take their drink order. The waitress said she would stop back shortly to take their food order. Thirty minutes later, still no waitress. My daughter went inside and, failing to see any free wait staff, told the manager that they had been waiting 30 minutes to place their food order. The manager said he would get someone to come out. Fifteen minutes later, still no waitress. My daughter went inside again and saw several of the wait staff by the bar, talking. She said they had been waiting 45 minutes. One of the staff asked her who her waitress is. Our daughter did not recognize the waitress who brought the drinks and said she did not know. One of the staff said she would handle it. My wife recognized her as the waitress. My wife and daughter placed their food order. Thirty minutes later, the food arrived. I asked my wife if the restaurant was busy, thinking that perhaps the wait and kitchen staff had been busy, but my wife said the restaurant was not busy. My wife said she never wants to go back to Bar Louie.

? Great place to hang out and drinks are pretty great!

Even with the major staff shortage, we recieved amazing service. The manager, Tom, handled some very unpleasant customers very well. They tried to literally push him and he remained level headed and de-escalated the situation quickly and quietly. Thank you for keeping your doors open for those willing to work and giving customers the best experience you can! the Babalouie Grilled Cheese was amazing! And the fried cheese curds were definitely worth the wait!

Won’t be back. Service was super slow…took an hour for the order to come out with half of the items missing. Took another 30 minutes to find the waitress to tell her it was wrong. No apology but rather made to feel bad for saying something. Wasn’t busy.

This was our first time having martinis (I know), but my husband and I are fans now. We tried four of them and they were ALL delicious. Great happy hour ($6 drinks and 1/2 apps), delicious food, and a great, attentive server made this our new go-to place in Chesterfield!!

Re. Our takeout order on a busy Saturday evening: first, Jack (bartender/answered phone) and Lindsay (manager) were friendly and attentive to my issues. Having said that:1. Take out order for 6 was ready for pick-up on time. Arriving home, discovered several items/meals missing. Returned to store thinking we’d missed picking up second bag. Wrong; items were just missed. They rechecked order and we had to wait as they prepared missing items.2. Of the 6 meals, 3 were OK/average (2 cheese burgers, 1 macaroni and chicken). The lettuce wedge was marginal - a bare 1/2 head of lettuce, some chopped tomatoes, onions, cilantro and 1 ramekin of dressing with a few blue cheese crumbles (photo). The beef sliders (photo) were bare, 2 dry untested buns and a beef patty, period; nothing like the ad picture. The chicken tacos were almost bare. Tried to combine the 3 tacos to make a meal, so did not get a chance to take a picture. They would have been returned to the kitchen if we were dining in.The manager was apologetic and said she would “speak to the kitchen”.

Our server/bartender Lacy was great. With being short staffed she informed us the wait may be a bit longer which wasn’t a big deal. She was very polite and attentive for having to serve drinks for the entire restaurant on top of taking orders and running food to tables. She even made time to have conversation with us while doing multiple things at once.
