I visited on the evening of 5/23 around 9:30pm by myself after getting out of a class I had to take for work in the city. Immediately upon entering the restaurant, I experienced the weirdest, most unwelcoming greeting I’ve ever had while dining out. It’s like the greeter was confused to see that I had come in at that hour or by myself or something. I’m not sure what the issue was; I asked him if they weren’t seating people anymore and said it’s okay if they weren’t and that I would just leave, because he was literally just standing there staring at me with a blank stare not saying anything. Like I said, it was only 9:30pm when I arrived, and they were advertised to be open until 11pm. He still kept staring at me confused, but eventually said that they were still seating people. But then he acted like he had no idea where he was going to seat me, even though the restaurant was full of empty tables? And then he took a menu and just walked off to an empty table without saying anything else to me…the whole situation was just very bizarre and left a bad taste in my mouth. I almost ended up just walking out after that, but decided to stay only because I knew most other places were already closed by that time. Other than that, my food was great. Service otherwise was fine; my waitress was timely, but not overly friendly. She did, however, serve my iced tea in a giant mug and gave me four lemon slices, which I did appreciate! I wish every restaurant would do that! ?? Overall, this experience won’t keep me from coming back, but it definitely wasn’t a positive one, unfortunately.
I went here for the first time today. The food was really good and portions were great! Also prices are really reasonable and the happy hour prices are even better! Staff was really friendly and even the staff that wasn't working our table interacted with us and made us feel welcome.I can't wait to go back and I hope the management team knows that they've got some really great employees working here.
The food is consistently good, solid menu, the wait staff are pleasant and efficient, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I find myself going here every few months.
This is the second time I’ve ordered and didn’t get what I requested. I always order a salad with blackened salmon. I request NO BACON as I’m a pescatarian… there was loads of bacon… it caused me to become sick of course ?… husband called and I was offered a gift card. Manager says they don’t offer refunds…LITTLE TO NO EMPATHY……….I didn’t get what I paid for and I don’t plan to eat there ever again. If I have to go to urgent care, 54th will hear about it… I’ve documented and taken pictures and videos of the food and the call. Horrrrrrible. Save yourself some time and avoid this location
my wife and I were ignored while a patron of Caucasian or "real american" decent was welcomed with open arms.
Great food, awesome staff.
Service was pleasant and everyone else’s food was good, but my salad was extremely overdressed. The waitress did take it off and offered a replacement but I didn’t accept because I didn’t want to wait. I would still go back and visit again
Fabulous dining!
Fabulous dining!
The waitresses were great, and we don't fault them, but our overall experience was awful. 4 of us out of a party of 6 ordered steaks. All 4 had major issues. One smelled like a dead animal, one was supposed to be a filet mignon and came out folded in half and did not look like a filet mignon. When they brought out a new one it was supposed to be well done and looked rare. Another that was supposed to be medium and came out barely cooked, almost raw. The last was supposed to be medium rare and came out past medium. The waitress and her trainee both did everything they could to make things better, the manager was rather dismissive and we felt like he could have been more polite about the whole situation. I understand he needs to be professional but he could've tried to assist us more personally.
