I’m a Long Island Iced Tea kind of girl. Top of the Marq blew made the best I’ve ever had! I’ll definitely be back!
Since it opened a couple years ago we have frequented Top of the Marq at least once a month, usually twice. I'm not sure why I haven't left a review before now! We have never once been less than impressed, they have most delicious food and drinks, amazing staff, and a beautiful view around. From the chef Matt, to the crazy talented bartender Tradd, to the general manager John, Top of the Marq has done such an amazing job at marrying personalities and skill. The changing menu keeps us engaged and intrigued to try new plates and drinks. While we have some favorites there has never been one item on the menu we have had and not absolutely loved. They are doing things the right way for sure! If you are looking for the best food, drink, staff, and atmosphere this is the place to go!
6/11/22 7p.m. I've been to this establishment 3 times b4, but tonight was very disappointing. I had family from out of town and wanted to show them a nice time. Didn't get a chance. HOSTESS at the door asked how many, then we chose outside seating. She told us to seating ourselves, which isn't normal. We found ourselves a seat and waited 25 minutes and NOONE came to serve us. A customer told his waitress we needed service, still nothing. After a while the same HOSTESS in the pink, cold shoulder dress comes and said she'd send someone. Still nothing. After 10 more minutes we left. The waitress for the night missed a good tip because of her, we always tip WELL
Top of the Marq had a nice atmosphere. I chose a seat right at the bar but somehow it took the cocktail artist a good 5-7 minutes to acknowledge me. I pulled the menu from a couple who had just left. I was about to leave when I was finally acknowledged and asked if I’d like to order. I reluctantly stayed and ordered. The drink and appetizer was good.
Top of the Marq is a fantastic new discovery for me! Balcony or inside dining, tapas type dining experience, excellent service, and very affordable prices!I will return and bring friends!
Visited on the Friday night before SEMO graduation on Saturday, so we knew the restaurant would be busy. I had made a reservation for our large party, 11 total with one in a wheelchair, about three weeks ahead. We were seated promptly on arrival, and our drink orders were taken promptly as well. We shared 7 or 8 small plates, and everyone had an entree as well. The food was really good, the drinks were fabulous, and the setting was phenomenal. What was most important though was that our server never batted an eye in taking care of such a large group. She was attentive, offered helpful suggestions, and even doubled as an excellent group photographer when we had finished our meal. Splendid graduation celebration meal!

Cool location, food was lacking. I got that blackened shrimp tapa, there wasn’t much flavor and the shrimp were dry. For my main I got the filet medallions. There were drenched in sauce and ok at best. Cocktails looked nice but I had a civil life brown, can’t mess that up. They also grabbed a card from me when I ordered my drink and before I ordered my meal like I was going to run down the elevator, off putting.
