Rarely do I patronize Steak and Shake, only because it's not on my commute path.Today I was in the vicinity and went through.The 4$ menu was reasonably priced.The food quality, taste and appearance, was delicious.Up against Burger King or McDonald's, Steak and Shake wins hands down...
We had an amazing waitress that chatted with us, so friendly and attentive.It made the atmosphere comfortable and enjoyable with the good food.It would be a five star rating if we didn't find a hair baked in the fries, but the rest of the food was good quality and low priced so we weren't too upset about it.
Thank you kind lady at the window. My food was delicious and fresh. Keep it classy cause I don't want all the steak and shakes to close. I love the original steak burger.

This place felt very sterile. No one greeted us as we walked in. There was no music or any ambience. The food was cooked well. I ordered cheese fries and got given a little cup of cheese with my little paper bag of fries. The tables were mostly dirty and I didn't see any employees attempting to clean them during my meal. I would no recommend coming here to eat dine in.
More space for sure and better organized. However… the Chili Mac I ordered was about a third of the size it used to be and more expensive. The shakes were good as always… but now you get about half the amount of shake you used to for the same price. The floor was extremely slippery even for me so I shudder at the thought of people who have trouble walking braving the trek.Everything is self-serve and is delivered in fast food packages even for dine in. The kiosk is fine but older generations and shorter people will have difficulty using it.I do not think I will be back. It has been over two years since my last visit.
No waiters so you have to order on a kiosk. Prices are higher than any other steak n shake I've ever visited. Tables weren't clean which is interesting since that's one of the only jobs left as I have to get my own drink and collect my own food from a counter. Burger was bland and unseasoned and no steak n shake seasoning available.
Mu husband loves Steak n shake which is why we go often. I love the hamburgers because they're flat.
No service at all. You place orders on touch screens. No contact with any employees. They also do not clean the bathrooms….. these were the worst bathrooms I have ever been in. They reeked of poor female hygiene and that smell lingered out into the dining area. I will never ever go back. Disgusting!!!!!! Oh and if you even care how the food was at this point….it was terrible too.
The food was good But something is wrong when you walk in order from a kisok pay a kisok then someone yelled out your number and you never see a employee. Got better service from my high school cafe
