I use to eat at the huddle house at the truck stop on Nash road all the time with my father at night all the time and tonight/ this morning I took my daughter into this one in cape and the waitress was wonderful my daughter is 3 and wouldn’t go to sleep and I had just got off work so I was like imma go get some food and my three year old little was talking to the waitress and that woman didn’t walk away from my table till she heard everything my daughter was saying the cook on duty was amazing I felt like I was at the one back on Nash road again the okra taste as if they freshly picked it out of the garden and put it in the fryer so good and just the right amount of salt on both
Visited with my boyfriend and friends of ours waited over an hour for our food - watched tables get their food that arrived after us. Servers were rude service was terrible
Haven't been there in a long time, today was not a good day to go.Had to request that waitress wipe the table down. We ordered our drinks; coffee for me. After getting ice water (like 10 minutes after) I had to remind the waitress I ordered coffee. When we finally got to order, after about 20 more minutes, they were busy but the waitress showed no urgency at all. During our 45 minute wait for our order we didn't get any more water or coffee until I got up and asked. We watched one table send their food back twice before getting up and leaving, not sure they even paid.Mine and my younger daughters food came out but it was at least 15-20 minutes before my other daughter got her food. The appetizer we ordered came out after all of the food (just a reminder, the appetizer is supposed to come before the main order. Restaurants in Cape seems to not understand that.) Any way the appetizer was burnt and not edible we canceled that one. Then my older daughter reminded me that there was part of the order still missing.I cannot recommend going there sorry.
Good breakfast.....cheap prices tooNeed some help service wise as they lacked bodies to cover all the tables. But server we had was doing a great job. So most of the stars were for her and the cooks.
Normally I don't have any issues with this location. Unfortunately the day we went was not that great. I was told I couldn't order pancakes, so I opted for the waffle plate. I was supposed to get eggs and bacon with my meal. When the server brought our food, my daughters was cold(she ordered the hashbrown bowl), I got what I said I couldn't order which was pancakes, never got my eggs and bacon. My sisters food was the only food warm. The server was so busy on her phone she never did check on us. When I complained she told us just to leave her a couple bucks and not to worry about paying for our food. What is wrong with people? Maybe if you had payed attention to your customers our food would have been better!!
Personally I think the food is great! The times I have been there the employees have always been nice and on top of things. I have never had any food that has not been good. The breakfast especially is good. It's much better than Cracker Barrel in my opinion and many of the other restaurants in Cape Girardeau.
I was there this morning, on a Wednesday about 9:30am. The two guys cooking worked so extremely well together, people could/should take lessons!! The food was great. Even though they were very busy, the wait time for my food was less than 15 minutes... Impressive... Waitress were all nice and friendly, but those two cooks were amazing!!
I order gits and TOAST to go. Well I got butter bread instead. Also order a pancake, received and waffle. They had 45 minutes to deliver me this sadness ? didn't noticed till we were well gone.
The waitress was not nice at all. It took a while to get waited on. There was only one waitress. Dirty tables that needed cleaned off. Didn't get condiments that I asked for. I had to go to another table to get them. It took around 35 minutes to get our order and it was not very busy. No one offered an apology as to the long wait time or the poor service. Only thing that was any good if any thing was good was the omelets, but definitely not worth the wait! I will not return!
Eggs ordered over med. Came out laced around the edges and generally over cooked. Waffles were about as hard as waffle cone. Biscuits and gravy was good
