Great drinks and food. Love the place.
We sat down and specifically mentioned we were there for dinner and asked questions about the entrees. The waitress said she'd be back, disappeared for a while so we went to the bar and ordered drinks. When she returned and we were ready to order food she then told us they no longer serve because they don't have enough kitchen staff. She said she "forgot" to say that when we were discussing the menu. You think? She didn't have the best attitude. Not really worth the visit with terrible staff and no food.
Ok place with sticky tables and loud music. Food was very mediocre but the service was great. Corned beef was very dry
Cheese curds were awesome! Fish and chips amazing!!! Bloody Mary was very good also.
We LOVE this place! The manager Gary & bartenders, Jeremy, & everyone makes you feel like family! Always a great time & we appreciate their welcoming attitudes! Great food as well!
We love stopping in to this quaint Pub when we are in town. The atmosphere is wonderful and extremely nice people. Great drinks!
Would NOT recommend Because we paid $18.99 for a fish and chips X 3 and there were barely any chips on any of our plates, meatloaf dish ok but it needed a side salad and our friend was still hungry…. Our scotch egg ($10) was to come out first but came with the meal… fish was good but very small portions (they use small plates)… Guinness was good and service was good BUT for 4 people we paid over $141 with tip and we barely drank…just 3-4 beers…. WAY too much money for a pub meal… my husband is a true Irish man and he was embarrassed we treated our friends to this meal. You could go else where and get a big steak meal with all the trimmings and then go to Waxy’s for some pints…. We were SO disappointed…. We later actually got a pizza on the way home because it was not a proper meal AND especially for the price!
Went into the restaurant at 430 to get a table for 4. Granted it is St. Patrick's, the place was horrible. I was told it would be 50-60 minutes before I got a table.Ok, killed some time walking the shopping area. Came back at the time they told me and was told it would be another hour. Then I was told to wait and they would seat me. Get seated in the bar area, and watched every single waitperson walk past the table. So I sat for 20 minutes before a wait staff person even came over and asked if we were helped yet. Told her "No" and she says "I will be right back." Watched her go to other tables and still didn't come back.An hour wait and another 30 minutes inside and no service. I spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, and I understand places are short staffed but if you can't serve people in your restaurant and figure out how to get things running smoothly, don't bother being open. Wait staff should have had designated sections and should be able to work them.
We really enjoyed our visit to Waxy O'Shea's Irish Pub! We came in for appetizers and drinks and enjoyed visiting with the wait staff and the general manager, Destiny. They are doing a great job and busting their hind quarters despite the current conditions in the work force. We will return...tomorrow in fact! Try the Irish Egg Rolls...they are delicious!
This place is receiving one star only because the food that we received was good. When the server came over and said it was his third day and we were a nine person party, we should have known….Some of the highlights, had to find our own menus, appetizers and food rang it at the same time so everything came at once, Tito’s and soda arrived twice at Tito’s and sprite, I asked about salad dressing and the server point to one on the table…it was malt vinegar and we never even received an appetizer we ordered. The incident that topped it off was that I had ordered a house salad which when it finally came out looked like a side salad. So I asked about the size, the food runner left and the “manager” came out and I inquired about the size of my house salad for $7. I took the lettuce, tomato and onion off my husband sandwich and I’m not joking when I say that would have made a bigger salad than what I was served. The manager informed that it was the house salad, I mentioned that very small for a $7 house salad and the manager, manager said to me…well we are so busy right now we’re just pushing food out as fast as we can. I said he could take my salad back and have it spruced up. At that point I told him to take it back and take it off the bill. The manager seemed more concerned about just pushing food out then actually making sure it was suitable. Also, the only things on my salad that I saw were lettuce, onion and croutons. It also concerns me that the server came around no less that seven times asking if we wanted about round of drinks…we couldn’t get our food, menus, or silverware, but we could have gotten alcohol at anytime.
