This place was great for us! Food was good, wait staff was incredible! They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. That says alot when traveling with a child who has Autism. So welcoming.

Saw the pictures of the bloody Mary’s and thought this is the place. Boy were we wrong. They couldn’t make the loaded bloody Mary’s. Where out of the orange juice for mimosas….. and my husband ordered a Ruben and when the food was brought out we were informed that they couldn’t make it. My aunts mash potatoes looked like frozen meal that was warmed up in the microwave. My burger was the California that came out just like a basic burger… and I was informed they were out of avocado. Needless to say this was the worst restaurant experience we have ever had. I will say they did bring out a burger for my husband that he told them he didn’t even want. We hope your experience is better.

We had a great experience with dinner at Star. The staff were very friendly and genuinely cared if we had a good experience. Three of us had excellent catfish, and the other an excellent Reuben. The beer wad cold and when we eyed mixed drinks at another table, they prepped them for us to take to-go! Reasonably priced, no wait, staff that cares! Better than the chain restaurant we left because they were so short staffed we were never going to be seated much less served. We'll.be back to Star for sure!

I have been coming here since they open I live locally the prime rib French dip is to die for fresh hand cut fries and the chicken strips are amazing freshly done every time not frozen at this place !

It was a tad busy when we arrived, and it got busier quickly. Service was a bit slow, but when the food arrived, it was great!! The staff was friendly—it is a family business, and a family atmosphere—kids were dancing between tables and enjoying their time/music. The nachos with brisket—wow! Catfish was awesome. As were the mashed potatoes and BBQ beans. And the pint drink (Long Island tea) was good, but only1!!! Will definitely go back and have already recommended it to friends and family!!

Terrible experience, waited forever to get meal service,!!!! Nothing . I read that it was a long wait time , that’s because no one serves anyone there were more staff than customers . Someone needs to manage the place .

Waitress intentionally ignored us and didn’t come to take our food order for over an hour. The young man working the door was the only person working service. Disgusting waitress turned her back on us when trying to flag her down

The night we went, they were somewhat busy - but not packed. We were able to find a seat with no issues. However we sat at the table for 10 or so minutes before anyone approached us to take our drink orders. Server was nice enough - just very slow. We

These folks made us feel at home, it’s off the beaten path but very good, I had the star sandwich that had smoked pork, brisket and sausage, I thought all were good but the sausage was the star!!! They had a selection of sauces and I liked the sweet heat the best. My wife had the chicken tenders and was very happy with her choice, salad bar was fresh and hit the mark, grand daughter had the Mac and cheese and it was very good!! Finished with an ice cream! All in all a very good meal, nice atmosphere and very helpful staff!

I went there on a Friday night at 6:00, the parking lot was empty which should have been a clue. They had 5 employees working and only about 5 families eating there. The food took about 45 minutes to come out, my wife’s food was cold, the French fries were so greasy they weren’t edible and the burger that was ordered medium came out well done. One thing that sticks out was watching one of the employees grab a gallon of milk off the counter pour it into a cup, then lick his fingers before adding chocolate syrup. The milk had been sitting out the whole time we were there. The menu is priced where an adult will cost $20+ and children cost $10+. If you are in the area, pass this place up.
