Sampled several items here and absolutely lived their bourbon. And I am normally not a bourbon drinker. Very smooth with a hint of spice. Highly recommend any product from Missouri ridge distillery.
After the response I have edited my review as the master distiller responded about the availability of food. Mad respect for him responding. To the rest of his response though I do have to say he should talk to his staff. They were nice but awkward as I said. And they definitely made comments about how they didn't like tourists. Along with not liking the touristy things in Branson, like the main restaurants. And I am someone who has been to many distilleries/wineries/breweries. And I do stand by my statement that these spirits are not incredibly smooth. They do have a harshness. To add a good note, your rums do have a good flavor that outweighs the very slight strength of them.Although I do not plan to visit this place again, I would not tell anyone to skip it if they were interested in distilleries.Service was awkward, but ok. They don't serve food here unless you order and reserve 24 hours in advanced. Spirits were very alcohol forward. Burned more than other spirits around the same proof. Staff looked down on tourists. Know this because of comments made by them. Not a place I plan to visit again.
Incredible place for a pre-wedding guys' event. Tina was an awesome server and Greg provided a tour that far exceeded our expectations. The BBQ was great and the drinks were great too.
Finally a rain day got us off work early enough to check out Missouri Ridge Dustillery and Brewery and it did not disappoint! Greg, master distiller (and owner I believe) was pouring beer and liquor, and he was personable and full of knowledge about the crafts and interesting stories from a life well lived thus far. Everything was great from the peach moonshine to the honey cream ale, I definitely found a watering hole that tickles my fancy..!
MR has a good variety of bourbon, whiskey, rum, and moonshine. We did a flight of 10 tastings. I was surprised that my favorite ended up being the single malt whiskey that was likened to a Scotch. The moonshine flavors were delicious. We didn't eat as the kitchen was closed that day. We also didn't try any beer since you can't purchase and take home the product-- yet. The gentleman that served us ended up being the owner. He was very friendly and gave us great information about each tasting. Lastly, the building and inside were very nice looking. We will definitely go back next time we're in town!
Went for lunch, but kitchen is closed:( however we did get a great tour of distillery and tasting. Wish they had food, would have stayed longer and enjoyed a beverage or two.
Our group had a great experience at Missouri Ridge Distillery. We each took part in the moonshine tastings that were offered, as well as their $1 craft beer samples. We had the Smoked Oatmeal Stout and the Cream Ale…top notch! Following this we enjoyed an informative tour explaining the process behind the magic ~ beautiful equipment and skilled, knowledgeable owner.
The cocktails were awesome. It was a bit hard to tell what the routine was when you walked in the door. Seat yourself, buy a larger container to go, order food, get samples.... There wasn't much direction. It was a little awkward.
Had a ball here! Got a tour of how all the products are made and then did a tasting! What an experience, the owner is very knowledgeable and explained how all of the products are made. Would definitely recommend you take the time to stop and experience this great place!
