We went for dinner at McFarlain's while visiting Branson MO. The dining area was about a third full. Our waitress came to take our drink order within 5 minutes of being seated. She returned quickly with them and after taking our orders said I'll have some cornbread out to you right away. 30 minutes later the waitress reappeared with our meals. We asked for the cornbread we had been told would be right out. 10 more minutes passed before she brought the elusive cornbread. In the meantime when cutting my dinner which was supposed to be Chicken Fried Steak discovered it was actually Chicken Fried Chicken. I informed the waitress and she apologized but, she thought I said Chicken Fried Chicken. She offered to have my original order of the Chicken Fried Steak out in 20 to 30 minutes. I declined since we had tickets to a show and would be late with an additional 20 or 30 minute delay. We finished our meal and had to ask another waitress to have our waitress bring our check since she had gone missing again. No time for lover's of dessert at our table. The moral of the story is the food was good; service not so much. If you have tickets to shows don't go for dinner at McFarlain's unless you go 3 hours earlier than whe your show is scheduled to begin.

Lunchtime Friday after a little shopping we met our guys at McFarlands for lunch. Server was fun and took great care of us. Burgers and fries were great. Cobbler and pies were outstanding.

Enjoyed McFarlains after a show for lunch and the service was VERY good. The food was satisfactory and by that I mean it was quite good, but nothing special, IMO. Pies were delicious. As such as nice place to grab a meal before or after a show, but not the draw of the location.

always have had good food hope to got here again in September....I have friends we are going with that have never been there before

Went here instead of another diner. The food was okay. We ordered the chicken pot pie with a side salad and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was just okay nothing to write home about. Our server, Zane, was great; fast and brought a carafe of water when I needed a refill.

This is a nice place to eat. One of us got a hamburger, two got meatloaf, one got grilled chicken salad, and one got the hamburger steak with grilled onion and gravy over it. 4 pieces of cornbread were brought out to our table for the 5 of us. When the server returned we asked for another piece of cornbread which she brought out. The meatloaf and hamburger were good. The salad and hamburger steak were just okay. We wouldn't order those again. This is a decent restaurant and maybe one to try for their meatloaf.

Had a nice lunch here today. Friendly staff and fast service, food was good as well as the blackberry cobbler!

Freid green tomatoes which they seem to be proud of were very average and greasy. Veggie soup was bland and tasteless. The only saving grace was the coconut cream pie.

Any time we’re in Branson we must stop here for a meal. It’s all soooo good. I got the pot roast and it is pull apart/fall apart tender. Hubby got a pork chop. It was large and had a fresh off the grill char lines quality flavor to it. I had a bite! Fried green tomatoes are great. And portions are large. You will want to try to save room for dessert.

First off we were seated in the early afternoon, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Pretty Soon, 10 minutes had gone by and no one had come to our table. We were fixing to get up and leave. The our server turned up, stating she didn't know we were out here! My Wife had the Fried Chicken dinner, which she liked. On the other hand I had the Chicken Fried Steak, which was OVER COOKED and Soaked with GREASE! Tasted horrible. Mashed potatoes were discusting. At one time, this restaurant was pretty good. How times have changed. This one is off our list for any future visits!
