The resturaunt was very clean and staff were friendly. Service was great along with true down home cooked omelets. Good portions and Good coffee! We would defintely go back on our next visit.
Could not have been a more disappointing experience. Staff was inattentive and the food was horrible. Got the “famous” cinnamon roll which must be famous as the worst. It was a dry crumbly dinner roll with a slight cinnamon flavor and barely any frosting. A Pillsbury out of can is so much better. Just skip this if you are visiting.
The pancakes had no fluffiness and very bland. Bacon wasn't very quality. To have spent $52 was not impressed. We ordered ham not bacon after our order was placed told us was out of ham. Definitely not GRANDMAS food
Went for lunch for my birthday. Small town atmosphere that makes you feel like family. Great home cooked food. Service was excellent. Prices were very comparable. You could visit with folks and/or staff and made to feel llike you were all friends or family. Hot roast beef took the entire plate!! And it was excellent. The four alarm burger was huge and perfect. This place used to be in the IMAX complex in Branson. This hidden treasure in a tourist town is just perfect for locals and visitors alike.
Great food wonderful service. We were helped by Kate. It was her first day and you never would have known. She was friendly, let us know when she didn’t know something and got the answer. We will definitely be back on our next trip.
The place is nice and I really enjoyed being there. The server get 4.5 stars....she was attentive and very nice.... The food gets 3.5 stars. Let's analyze our orders. The ribs order.....they are great, french fries crispy and hot, potato salad it was okay. The chicken breast order.......the corn on the cob was as expected; but I wish it had butter on it, the mac and cheese.....oh no, no, no!!!!! Not good at all.....boxed mac and cheese from the supermarket. It was very dry, clumpy and flavorless. The chicken breast.....the portion was good but it was a kind of dry, chewy and barely any flavor. I compensated by adding the BBQ sauce it was brought for the ribs. They need to improve this items or change them entirely. I wish to get them another opportunity when I visit Branson again; but they need to improve their cooking.
The host (Grand pa they called him. He made the atmosphere GREAT). The service was great also but the food was so so so good, and us locals know where to go and not go. The proportion size of their omelets were huge. Their country ham was fantastic. Whether you live here or just passing through stop by for a great meal!!!
Went here for breakfast and the service was quick but food was mediocre. Toast was undercooked, eggs were over cooked on the omelette and the pancakes may have been made of rubber, the knife would not cut them easily. We went here because it got decent reviews but it was a loud restaurant with the manager offering someone a job. Not exactly whet we want to hear over breakfast. Go to one of the other places instead, better environment and definitely better food.
Waiting over an hour for our food when the dining room was pretty much empty no communication from waitress she was too busy with another table food was cold when we got it. Said something to waitress and she went off on a long spill about all different things yelling at me and my family trying to use a staff shortage as an excuse which we understand but to go off on a rant was unneeded. We are local and wanted to support a small local business, ended up walking out and not eating due to the horrible customer service and informed the manager of the actions and she tried to justify the actions of the server. We will not be back.
The service and food here both deserve only a one star rating!! My mom and i waited for over an hour which is ridiculous. My pancakes were cooked too long which made them tough and the scrambled eggs didn't taste up to par neither. We could both hear the kitchen staff playing around and talking about us in particular. I seriously thought about walking over to the kitchen and saying something but chose not to instead. There's one guy in there wearing a big sleeveless shirt, and a hat also. And his hair could've fallen into customers food because he did not have a hair net. The waitress bless her heart this was only her second day working here. She told us that she's gonna be looking for a different job though. We do not blame her neither. I believe there are two guys maybe three working in that kitchen. But they clearly don't take their jobs seriously at all. If i was the owner they would immediately be fired on the spot without pay. The restaurant wasn't even crowded and hardly any cars in the parking lot.I'm sorry but i do not reccomend this dining establishment to anyone visiting branson. It's not worth the wasted time or money. Please consider going elsewhere. We will certainly never dine here again ??The kitchen staff also sang constantly with the door open. They were literally off key the whole time. And when our waitress went to go see where the food was they loudly said oh their still here? Like we didn't hear that really?
