This was my first time eating at a Waffle House. I had heard how as a chain, they are not very clean restaurants. This unfortunately proved to be true. What a shame because our server was very nice and my chicken sandwich was actually very tasty, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. However, the place was a mess. There was food on the floor including the cooking area and everything look like it needed to be wiped down. It was hard to eat in that environment. So sad to say, their reputation of not being very clean was validated.
It's hard to beat a Waffle House pecan waffle. So good and just the right amount of pecans.Other than being really noisy it was great. ? ?me some Waffle House.
This Waffle House appeared to us on the side of the highway after a concert. I’ll admit it took some convincing to choose the Waffle House over say a McDonalds or Taco Bell. I am incredibly grateful I was convinced because from the moment I walked in I was met with a home away from home. Sitting in that booth felt like sitting in an old leather recliner that’s been broken in for decades. Our server was incredibly friendly, he is family now. The diet coke was mid tbh but I should’ve gotten water to begin with that’s my bad. The menu was the same as any other waffle house. It was the server’s recommendations that sent it above and beyond. We did not take these recommendations but to know he cared was really nice. We talked to him about the concert we saw and explained the appeal to a niche alternative rock band which he proceeded to accept with an open mind. The man later played AJR on the jukebox so I don’t really care about his opinion on music but it was nice to feel understood. We ate the food, was good ig. We finished the night with three weezer songs back to back on the jukebox. This was by far my favorite obscure out of town Waffle House session to date. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Blue Springs Waffle House.
When I first got to this Waffle House I have to admit that I was a tad put off!!! It seemed a bit sketchy!!! Totally deserted!!! But after my hubby called to confirm they were open, we went in!!! We were greeted immediately and was told that we could sit anywhere we wanted!!! We sat and looked at the menu and ordered our drinks!!! Then we ordered our food!!! Their menu is very limited at the current moment but the breakfast sandwich I ordered was great!!! If I was just basing my score on the sandwich, it would be 5 stars!!! BUT...the coffee was old, stale, and burnt!!! The orange juice was bitter and had that tangy taste of it being old!!! The sides were VERY limited!!! My youngest son doesn't eat potatoes, like AT ALL!!! The choices were hashbrowns, grits and tomato slices!!! He chose not to have a side!!! He also ordered the breakfast sandwich which he loved!!! He had the bacon and I had the city ham (ham was amazing by the way)!!! After he finished that he was still hungry so he ordered a chocolate chip waffle!!! She didn't charge us for it though!!! So we just added that extra $5.50 to her tip!!! When we left, there were several other people eating inside!!! But we somehow always bring the crowd with us everywhere we go!!! Lol!!!All in all, great food, great service, but the atmosphere needs work!!! 4 stars!!!
My mom is in her declining years, and my son and I have been doing nothing but tending to her. So we needed a break and decided to take my granddaughter to the rebuilt Waffle House in my hometown. It was three o'clock in the afternoon on Easter. Who knew they'd be open? We were excited. We got there, and there were only maybe four cars in the parking lot. We walk in and have good interactions with customers leaving. There was a male cook and a female server. Nobody said boo to us. They had half the place roped off, leaving maybe four tables, only one of which could seat three people. The other three tables were occupied.I had to ask the server if we could sit at the four-seater after it was cleaned off. She seemed confused about having to tend to three tables, but said okay, she'd go clean the other one. There was a guy cooking, so it's not like she can't keep people's coffee going. I know how this works. I waited tables at busier places as a teenager. I felt like we were in the Twilight Zone.We stand there and try to wait happily for her to remember to go clean the four-seater. No pressure here. And then the cook turns around and tells us we can't sit there. The server just looks at him, puzzled. I ask where we're supposed to sit. He said, "right here," and points to three stools at the bar.So we waited 15 minutes to have someone clean off the only table that would seat three people (with the exception of all the roped-off tables), and were basically told we couldn't sit there.I can't think of a single reason why a nationally-known business would employ such poor representatives of their brand. The girl was just simply doing what the cook said, so I guess I can't blame her for her ineptitude, but the guy? Um, if you don't want to work, maybe let somebody else have that job.You weren't even BUSY.
Was not too bad. Cook had headphones in his ears so messed hash browns up. Could be cleaner in sitting areas. Servers were all over the place and not paying attention if order was marked right.
It's a Waffle House. You typically get what you expect (good food, chill people). My service on this particular visit was extraordinary. Server was putting out all the best vibes and made sure our table was taken care of.
Walked in the door at 9pm after driving a ways to get specifically to waffle house... greeted inside the front door by lady who said "sorry guys I'm under staffed and getting ready to close early". 1/2 or more of the dining room was full with people eating, and I quickly noticed at least 4-5 employees....hmm I got the impression that it was some other kind of issue, like they just made up an excuse to be lazy and get out of serving any more people. SMH - ZERO STARS
It's a good place to go. The staff are friendly and nice. The food warm and hot but I think there should be more of a menu.
Well, I'm a breakfast guy. It's hard to mess it up, but some places do. Anyway, this place has prepared my food faster than any other place in recent history. Also, I love grits, and they have them. Don't be afraid to give this place a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
