We went to Rae’s for a family breakfast, all 13 of us. The service was fast and accurate. The food was so delicious. I grew up with a father from MO and he simply loved gravy. I decided to go with the chicken fried steak. OMG!!!!! I am craving this now. The seasoning on the steak was the best I’ve ever tasted. The gravy…. Oh that gravy. Oh yum!!! Next time in MO I will certainly be back. I might need to split my dish, but I will be back!!
Every thing for Breakfast was overcooked, Breakfast Burrito was all egg and one piece of bacon inside. Chicken fried Steak breakfast was tasteless and way over cooked steak and the fried taters and onions was burnt also. No seasoning at all on either one of our Breakfast.
Finally was able to stop in and have breakfast today. It was a great experience and I highly recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch, you won’t be disappointed. Our server Courtney was awesome and the family style atmosphere is very welcoming.
Generally speaking, everything I've had at Rae's was pretty good. I tried their waffles today and they had to be the absolute worst that I have ever eaten. It was like eating a sponge with no taste whatsoever and as I said, texture was that of a sponge..... They seriously need to order a Belgium waffle maker and come up with a different batter mix..... Awful. I would highly recommend not to order them.
Visited Rae's Cafe in Independence this morning. The place is beautiful, the food was delicious and our server was extremely nice. We will be going back.
