Oyster poboy was great. Service was good. had a great time.
Great food & service! Highly recommend
Great, friendly service and delicious seafood! Reasonable prices.
Date of our visit was 03/24. Second stop on our way to Savannah, and we wanted seafood. We were thinking about another place but the lady working the front desk at our hotel recommended this one. What a great dinner it was. You know when it's full of locals and the owner is hands on, you're going to get an excellent meal. Wife had a catfish po'boy and I the seafood platter. Sandwich had been put in a panini press so the bread was nice and crispy. My entree came with 5 pieces of catfish, 6 each oysters and shrimp and one stuffed crab. Fresh, tasty fish and seafood. Stuffed crab was only average but could not detract from the overall experience. $12 for the sandwich and $21 for the platter. Place has a funky, in a good way, ambiance. Dollar bills on every wall. Lots of antique boat motors, inside and out. Service was excellent. Very good prices. We would return and highly recommend.
We wanted a catfish dinner and it was perfect! To avoid any wheat, we ordered the fish grilled with turnip greens, coleslaw and green beans on the side. The server was attentive and understood our questions. Wonderful experience.
These are the BEST CRAWFISH in Mississippi, I travel 45 minutes just to get my hands on 5lbs of crawfish, the favor is out of this world. I take my hat out to the cook/chef, whoever has that season on the mudbugs. PLEASE DON'T EVER CHANGE THE SEASON, it is Just right. They are so flavorful you can eat them cold. Thank you all for your service at the Market Place, and everyone is so friendly and kind.
Had dinner there again tonight after a long day of fishing. I was tired and in jeans & T shirt just like everyone else there. This is a working, fishing, hunting, outdoor kinda guy/gal place. I had the tuna, slaw, and okra..all done to a T. The lady that served me was very sweet and pleasant and kept my glass filled. The food and drinks were great and I felt at home as I always do. There are several patriotic posters and such and me being a veteran these little things mean a lot. Nobody owes me anything for serving but it’s very nice to know your service is appreciated. I realize this is probably not a very exciting review but it’s genuine. The food is good, the place and the people are the real deal. You won’t be disappointed
Sides true southern cooking. Mac and cheese homemade. Turnip greens tasty. Hush puppies a bit spicy. Grilled shrimp excellent flavor and fresh. Redfish a bit dry but the waitress warned us before ordering. Wanted local seafood. Waitress was very attentive and friendly. Restaurant also had fresh fish market.
After looking up good restaurants in Vicksburg MS we found Toneys with mostly good reviews so we decided to try it. We went on October 7, 2021 and was Very, Very disappointed. My friend and I ordered the daily specials. Beef tips, greens, her side was limas and I had Mac and cheese. Most sides with our lunch were cold and had no flavor and meat was only room temperature. Greens and Mac and cheese all absolutely flavorless. I asked for a bowl of hot Mac and was half through wi
Everything and everyone is great.
