Great location, staff was friendly and welcoming. The chicken wings great, not a fan of the in house ranch, too much citrus for my taste, fried pickles really good, the pizza though is really good and mainly it's because the crust is fantastic!Mississippi blonde beer is really good.Try it out!
Supper fast service, the pizza was very good although a little on the greasy side. Had the fennel sausage pizza very delicious. I would highly recommend. Great beer selection and even had some tasty cocktails!
A gustatory delight! Stopped after arriving late in Vicksburg. The kitchen closes at 9pm on Sundays and the bar remains open until 10pm. Ordered the falafel. The lemon tahini and szechuan hot honey it sits upon was delightful. For our main course, we had the caramelized onion pizza. The crust was tasty and light, but sturdy enough to hold the toppings. Tamarind sauce, Asiago, potato chips and chives played well with each other. First time with potato chips on my pizza made me question my existence up to this point. What have I been doing with my life??The Neverwhere brew has a light earthy flavor with almost like a saison end. Everybody Wants to Rule the Haze had an amazing citrus experience. Both were delicious! This is the kind of place that makes people relocate across the country!
We were stopping for the night in Vicksburg, and found this brewery on Google Maps. Excellent beers, menu is a bit pricey, but we ordered sausage pizza, which came with collard greens on the pizza, so you know it was slamming good. My wife got one of the stouts, I had the Belgian strong ale. Both were excellent. The rooftop bar area is the ambience I needed after spending the day driving through Texas and Louisiana. If I'm back in Vicksburg, I'm coming here for a reunion tour!
I've lived in this beautiful hamlet since September, 2021, and have eaten here, at Key City Brewery and Eatery a*k*a, The Cottonwood a few times, now and they've never failed to satiate my inner foodie.Tonight was no different!!! The menu, subtly changes with the availability of foods of the season - and I'm here for it, bruh!!!Hubby and I started our date night with Roasted Sunchokes and Braised Pork Belly. Don't worry about Googling half the description of ingredients; it's GOOOOD - eat it!!! I PROMISE you multiple esopha-gasms.Dinner consisted of Beef Short rib, nestled in a sea of Rutabaga, Rice Grits and a gravy rich as Rockefeller and one of their pizzas: Adobo Spiced Chicken.1.) All their pizzas are tasty aF.2.) Take it from this Jersey Girl, the crust is the most authentic here, in The 'Sip - I CHALLENGE YOU to put a more authentic and tasty crust on a pizza!!!Peyton, our waiter, was informative and took EXCELLENT care of us.This place is a formidable contender as a taste of the town.
A Diamond in the Rough!! what a clean fun experience!! The bar has an open front with an antique referb look which adds to it’s charm. The staff were very friendly and quick to bring our dishes. Now for the highlight; Brew and grub. Hubby was put on beer tasting duty. He sticks to IPAs so he started with The Lord of Lightning. This beer he said had notes of a sour. He recommended the Death on Two Legs. A hoppy beverage with that grapefruit like nip to it.As for the food, the hubster got a brat with an amazing course ground mustard and horseradish sauce.I’m gluten intolerant and chose their GF buffalo chicken wings with a marvelous tangy dressing for dipping. What I liked most was that the wings were seasoned with a rub and not a sauce so the flavor was delicious without being too salty or overpowering. One of their highlight foods which many folks were praising was the brick oven pizza but alas no GF so I could not review that delight. We had to leave just before the entertainment arrived unfortunately but I’m sure it would have been the cherry on top for our adventure. My one recommendation would be to serve a flight so that the patrons could partake of all the pubs brew artistry. After you enjoy your meal and brew, head to the bottom of the hill to gaze at the beauty of the Mighty Mississippi.Let this little gem shine on!!
First time in Vicksburg and this seemed to be the only brew pub in the area. Atmosphere was inviting and even had music playing in the street. Service was terrible at cottonwood and they were heavily staffed. Seemed like our waitress was the only one working the tables. We ordered and the pizza came out faster than my beverage. Decent rating because the pizza was on point! I contemplated tipping the pizza guy instead of the waitress.
Great beer and great service!!! Enjoyed it!!
Great Beer and Pizza! Highly recommend
We had a great experience here! We would give this place 5 stars on the beer alone…there are some great options. We tried the Burning star (an amazing Belgian quad), the Death on two legs (a solid IPA), Executor (amber ale), O hanrahan’s curse (which was very nice as well). Lastly we had the Moon child oatmeal stout, it’s a great stout. When we sat down we ordered a plates of fries to share for the table and they were great. We tried various pizzas like the adobo chicken (great flavor), the Margherita, the fennel sausage (solid option but the collard greens were a bit odd). We also ordered the falafel (not dry at all, very tasty). Most of the pizzas could’ve used a little more cheese, but I think that’s just personal preference. And they all really had a nice flavor. We had a party of 10 and the service was excellent. They were prompt on our drinks and got the whole order correct. They were also very kind. We would highly recommend this place!
