We brought in a group of parents and kids from a softball tournament. It was around 3:30 or 4PM in the afternoon. They were not busy at all. They asked how many people and I told them at least 15, but there was a cahnce that a couple more might show up. They made us give them an ID card and a credit card before they would seat us. They took us to the back to be seated. The adults sat at one table and the kids at another. Shortly after being seated the arrogant manager came to our table to tell us that they would not be able to serve us because we had more than 9 people. An argument ensued. I asked him if he was telling me that he didn't want my business. His only response was to say "that is up to you". At that point, he had been so rude to us that I decided there was no way I'd ever spend a penny there. We left and went to Rey Azteca Mexican Restaurant. We had a lovely meal there, lots of drinks, and tipped the waiter extremely well for his good service.

Walked in and smelled like it has been smoked in for years when I was expecting to walk in and it being more on the fancier end. Asked for a tostada and the enchilada meal.. they put the crispy tostada under the burrito and it just got soggy, asked for a new one and never got one the whole time I was eating and the waitress never came back, so I ate everything that was on it with the free chips that came to the table. She came back after my whole plate was empty. Took forever for service and the bill. My brother got a margarita on the rocks and he had to get the blended one because he said it tasted like fruit punch but yet my mom's frozen one tasted plentiful of alcohol. The manager didn't care to do too much about it, just asked him if he preferred a frozen one instead which he didn't otherwise that's what he would have ordered in the first place, he ibly got it because ours mom's frozen one actually tasted of alcohol. I'll be sure to stay away from this on my next road trip. Also the menu said my plate was $8.99 and I was charged $9.50 for it before tax, so watch your bill!

Food was good, nothing to die for but good atmosphere and decor. I enjoyed the cheese enchiladas they were different from what I'm use to buy for me in a good way. Also the salsa was tasty. Waitress was a little shy but everyone seemed friendly. The hostest joked with me which is always fun. I would be happy to return but it was a little hot in the dinning room.

The place was packed. Service was slow. The chips were stale, but the food was incredible. My grandson and I got the Carnitas which were superb. I'm not sure what my wife got, but she ate it all so it was good as well. The quality of the food made up for all the bad stuff. I would highly recommend El Sombrero to anyone looking for some great Mexican food.

My daughter's 14th Birthday Celebration with 10 friends! Fast service friendly people and good food !! :)

The food and service were both exceptional. The beer was cold and fresh. The golden taquitos were wonderful, the carnitas was delicious. The chips and salsa were great. Really beautiful building well managed. The bar area allows smoking. Other than that we really enjoyed this stop. And all at very reasonable prices! Thank you

Nice place to sit and have a drink and get some food. The service is pretty slow and not very attentive. They allow smoking inside which is really weird, I felt like I was back in the 80s... I went there mainly out of convenience, but have definitely had better Mexican food.

Great food and atmosphere

Awful place to eat. I thought I went safe but apparently they can’t even make a chimichanga. Waste of money.

My wife took here on a lunch date. The food was delicious, very reasonable wait time, friendly and accommodating staff. We SHALL return!
