Ordered Chicken and Dumplings. There was no chicken! Terribly salty. Waiter did not bring us silverware until our food was cold.
Things you want;; great food fast friendly service
Ate here twice, while traveling back and forth. First time the kids and I arrived in the later afternoon. We all wanted breakfast. No apple juice, orange juice, and no longer serving Turkey Bacon. Fine, we managed. On our trip back, it took 20 minutes for a server to take our drink order. Took 10 minutes to get our drinks. Kids got their food but I didn't. I waited another 10 minutes to hear that they are out of the fish. Ordered breakfast. The kids were falling asleep after being on the road for 7.5 hours and I still don't have my food. Told the waitress to just give us to-go boxes.I spent $30, left no tip, and left hungry after being on the road for 7 hours. I will NEVER stop here again.
If there was less than a one-star rating, That's what I would give this place. Seriously, if they cannot do any better than this, they need to close their doors. It just took us over an hour and a half to get a simple meal. They weren't crowded at all. They brought us plastic utensils saying they were out of clean silverware. I ordered a salad and was told about 15 to 20 minutes later that they were out of lettuce... There seemed to be plenty of staff all over the restaurant/kitchen so they certainly weren't short-handed. I have no idea what the real problem was - because they were not crowded in it. Plenty of staff and yet it took an hour and a half to eat a simple dinner... Pitiful. I'm embarrassed for them.
After 12 hours on the road my family was pleased to see a Cracker Barrel as we've found this chain to be a consistently good choice for us. This particular restaurant was disappointing at best. Service was slow, with a wait of over 45 minutes after our order was taken. Orders were incomplete and after 3 requests, we gave up on the ranch dressing. The food itself was sub par, with the beans cold and cornbread burned and hard. Regret choosing this restaurant. First time I've felt the need to write a bad review.
A friend and I went to the Cracker Barrel for a quick meal while in Vicksburg visiting the flea market. We got there at 4pm and were seated right away. We were given wet sticky menus by the hostess to order from. We waited about 15 minutes to be waited on because all the wait staff was standing at the kitchen entrance talking. Finally got waited on. Ordered the drinks and food all at once. I ordered off the breakfast menu and my friend ordered chicken and dumplings. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette and was told we don’t have those any longer so I ordered 3 scrambled eggs with hash browns and bacon. When we got the meal I received fried eggs instead of scrambled eggs and asked for them to be returned for what I ordered and our waitress said they didn’t have scrambled eggs today. What?? Instead of arguing I kept what I had. When paying the bill I asked to see a manager or supervisor and was told they were not on site at the moment. We left as soon as we could. Food was not what we were used to at Cracker Barrel. Not sure if I will go to this location again v
Worst CB ever!Night manager rarely available.Out of the last 6 visits, only 1 time did I tip my server.Hostess made server seat 3 parties at 1 time.Hostess was glued to cell phone. No sweet tea refills.Sausage was burnt.Biscuits were reheated instead of fresh.Waitress did not pay attention to who ordered what when placing plates.Other guests had to flag down waitress for refills.Food served raw.Order not brought out together.Could not finish meal because of no drinks. It's hard to swallow a pancake of theirs without a drink.Walked out after talking to hostess who finally got off her cellphone when I said I was not paying for the garbage my wife and I just experienced and called the "manager".
The food is good but probably the dirtiest Cracker Barrel I have ever been in. The floor looks like it hasn’t been swept in days.
Good food but can be crowded at times. Very little room between tables.
I have never had such poor service! Four of us went at a time that was not busy. No one was seated anywhere near us. Our drink orders were taken pretty quickly. Shortly, the waitress took our food orders and then told us that she would bring us biscuits and jelly. I noticed the tables around us started filling up and she was taking their orders. I then noticed others getting their biscuits while we were still waiting. One table (who arrived after us) even got their food. I told my folks that I didn't think she put our order in. Finally, a manager brought biscuits - still no jelly. We stopped her 4 times and asked for jelly. More than an hour later we got our food. My granddaughter asked for sauce and ketchup again(which was requested when we ordered). One order was wrong. When they brought the correct food, we asked again for sauce and ketchup. My granddaughter finally gave up and started to eat. Her chicken was so hard she couldn't eat it so she just ate her fries. Waitress finally brought jelly. Really? I asked for a to go box and the ticket. Finally, my daughter went and got me a box. When she brought the ticket, I told her how I felt. She said that she was new and they gave her too many tables. The manager spoke to the table next to us and told them that their order got lost. The table across from us was still waiting when we left. (Several hungry little children) HIGHLY disappointed!!
