Really great dinner here. Fully staffed. Seated quickly. Great service. We had a very nice meal!
Just met the owner Rocky and he was super cool! Staff was amazing!
Great Steaks and great food.
We wanted a non chain restaurant and this place was a second recommended behind Rustys.. since it was open we tried it. What a mistake!I had the catfish and baked potatoes. The catfish was actually good, however the potatoes was not hot enough to melt butter and the tarter sauce was terrible. The salad was mediocre as was the crab cakes and shrimp that the family had.All told this was $68 dollars that would have served us better at a chain.. sad but true. Not recommended.
My wife and I were visiting Vicksburg in early May. We heard about this restaurant from both locals and fellow travelers. The restaurant is large and comfortable. Tables were well-spaced and the atmosphere relaxing. We ate there 2 nights in a row because we liked it so much the first night. Both nights the service was prompt and friendly. I had fried shrimp and scallops' dinner. The shrimp were large and well breaded and so fresh. The scallops were sweet and tender and there were a lot of them. They also made a very good vodka martini. .
Clean and comfortable though a little too chilly for my liking. Great menu selection. I had the crabcakes with salad and steamed broccoli. Could not fault it, just super. Husband had the catfish and shrimp, salad and potato, it was excellent. Great service but don't plan on having room for dessert. Huge portions.
The staff are friendly professional courteous people and the food is always great. I recommend the 24 ounce ribeye.my wife and I share one every time we are in town. You should also try the French onion soup. The fried mushrooms are a great addition to the meal.
Another stopover on a long trip for me. Was surprised at how good the food was. had a large filet and ordered it medium rare and it cooked perfectly. I ate at the bar and the service was quick and attentive. I had the occasion to meet "Rocky", who is the owner. He's a great guy that maintains the passion for his business It was a pleasure to have met this gentleman.
We stayed the night in Vicksburg on our way to Gulf Shores. Our favorite seafood restaurant is closed on Monday nights, so we decided to try Beechwood. When we walked up to the door, the smell wafting out was wonderful. Made our mouths water. When we got inside, we were told by a couple ahead of us that it was their favorite place to eat in Vicksburg. They were packed on a Monday night, so we were looking forward to a great meal. It didn't take long to decide we might be in for a disappointment because we had an exceptionally rude waitress. She just had a very hateful attitude. When we asked for our fish to be cooked well done, she actually made fun of us and said fish is always cooked well done, otherwise it would make you sick. I told her it most certainly was not always cooked well done, otherwise we wouldn't feel the need to request that it be cooked that way. She had yet another smart remark. We figured she was just having a bad night. We were served what amounted to french bread cut into chip-thin slices and baked into crisps with butter instead of rolls. That was not enjoyable. When we received our salads, they were a tiny bowl of lettuce with one baby corn and one cherry tomato. At least the lettuce was fresh. When we received our entree of grouper, it was terrible. The baked potato had absolutely nothing on it - no salted skin, no oiled skin so it would crisp, nothing. It wasn't even cut. It wasn't done, somewhat crunchy. We were given one tiny container of magazine and a tube of sour cream. The fish was exceptionally oily and had little flavor. It was supposed to have been grilled, but tasted fried. Just not worth the $85 we paid. Will NEVER eat there again!
The Redfish Orleans was amazing! Broccoli and mixed vegetables were a little undercooked.
