Ordered grilled chicken club with smoked Gouda, bacon, Canadian bacon, etc on brioche bun. Sandwich had no Canadian bacon just large chunk of ham, no smoked Gouda, just some sorta grated cheese they tried to melt, and no brioche bun. It was a regular hamburger bun they tried to toast. Had zero taste. Husband order fried green tomatoes with sautéed shrimp and crawfish. Zero crawfish. When asked about it, they said oh we are out of crawfish. ???♀️Had we known, we would have ordered something else. They blamed it on new management, but sounds like it’s not just the “new management” that has an issue. This place used to be our place to go for brunch on the weekends, but we will not be back. Food has gone downhill the last few times we have been there. We tried it one more and one last time.
I've been contemplating writing a review for this establishment for some time now. On January 25th, I went to this place for breakfast with my boyfriend. I remember the date because it was my birthday.A woman showed us to our booth on the side of the place that was vacant of customers. She did not return after delivering our drinks. We sat there for maybe 30 minutes and someone finally came up to ask if everything was okay.It was explained that we had not even ordered yet because the lady that sat us did not return. It was an hour before we even seen our food. It was good though, thankfully, and the woman serving us was very nice.It gets worse though. Afterward, we went out to the parking lot to leave, only to find a car parked behind us in a no parking zone, blocking our vehicle from leaving. We stood there a good 10 minutes. I went inside to ask the staff if they could find the person driving a dark sports car.Miraculously, the lady appeared to know exactly who owned it and said she would notify this person right away. I went back outside to stand with my boyfriend. On the other side of the parking spaces, opened a truck door suddenly with a woman shouting loudly at us that she would "be right there". And proceeded to sit there continuing her conversation with the owner inside the truck.I was flabbergasted with my mouth open. She turned out to be the owner of the vehicle that was blocking us. She must have been watching us the entire time we were standing there, not doing anything about it. Not only that, it turns out she was a MANAGER. We walked over to her to tell her to get out and move because we wanted to leave. She CURSED at us saying that she was in employee parking. However, she was obviously blocking public parking. Her name is Ann by the way. Super buddy buddy with the owner is what I was told because she wasn't fired for her ill mannered attitude. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER employ a person in customer service that lacked the skills to be in that job description.Never went back.
Food was delicious! Service was good as well! I had the creole omelet with cheese grits. Very clean friendly place, I will be visiting again when I'm in the area.
Stopped in early Saturday morning and was treated to a first class breakfast experience. Servings were ample and very well prepared. We asked for decaf coffee and it was the best we’ve had on a long time (they grind their own beans). Highly recommend.
Beignets were definitely a hit! The vegetable omelet/grits, shrimp poboy/Parmesan fries & farmers market eggs Benedict/cheese grits the rest of our table had were all soooo delicious! Topped off with delicious fresh ground coffee & top notch service from our waitress!!
Stopped in here while passing through and it was amazing! Highly recommend if you get a chance to stop in. Food was hot and fresh and most importantly delicious! Staff was super friendly and helpful in answering questions about the food when I couldn’t decide what I wanted ? shoutout to our server Tabitha! She was absolutely wonderful! The green tomatoes were fabulous! Planning a another trip to Tupelo soon and this will definitely be a place to stop!
On our way to Alabama recently, we spent the night in Tupelo. A late morning called for a big brunch. Boy, did we find just that and more aat Brick & Spoon! The location was great. The wait staff was so polite and personable (deep South polite!). The menu was so varied we can't wait to return and try another new breakfast adventure. You can't go wrong with this place. I imagine their lunch/dinner is just as good. Great to have a "go to" spot on our Southern route to the beach and beyond.
What a great place to have breakfast! Huge portions. Attentive staff and live music too!!!
To get right to the chase, I really enjoyed my meal here!Prices were reasonable, service was great, and the food was also very tasty! The shrimp & avocado sandwich was my favorite thing I tried. The honey Sriracha chicken biscuit with gravy was also a very interesting combo. All in all, I don’t really have any complaints or negatives that I experienced. If I was in the area again, I’d certainly not hesitate to come back!
Good food friendly staff. Would come again next time I’m in town. Really good coffee, which is what every breakfast goer wants. Nice atmosphere and a very open feel. Thanks for the Benedict, would of taken a photo but I scarfed it! :D
