Do you enjoy average (at best) Tex-Mex food? How about food that looks like a 25% grayscale filter has been applied? Do you like cramming around weirdly high booth tables on sticky, torn vinyl benches?THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU.Oh, and prices are also ridiculous for the alleged quality of the food.The fact that this was voted, thrice, People's Choice runner-up Mexican restaurant only says terrible things about the other Mexican restaurants in town. For the love of god, don't make your kids eat off the kid menu. Just get them a hot dog from the gas station rollers instead and save $6. And since the kitchen and wait staff can't seem to coordinate food delivery, you'll have plenty of time to run out during the 4 or 5 minutes of everyone's food being delivered in dribs and drabs.ON THE POSITIVE SIDE, servers were attentive and fast on refills. Bathrooms and floors were clean. Restaurant decor is bright and fun. Sadly the food is just nowhere near up to par.
This was the worst restaurant I've eaten at in a long time. We pulled up at a little after 11 am. The parking lot was empty so we weren't even sure if they were open. They were. There was a list of "rules" on the door. I read them. (I can only imagine why there were hand written rules posted.) There were also a couple of printed out pictures of a lady and a to go box. Again, I can only imagine why.We waited a few minutes before we ever saw anyone to seat us. The booth the waiter sat us at (party of 4) had busted spring seats. I felt like a little kid sitting at the table. But I thought, ok, we will give this a go.Food was meh... waiter was non attentive. When we got the bill, a gratuity was already added. No choice given about what to tip him. It was added to our bill automatically. There was NOTHING written anywhere about this being done UNLESS you are a party of 5 and you sit at the bar. We were neither of those. On the way out I stopped at the door and reread those rules to make sure I didn't miss anything about gratuity being added automatically to your bill. Nope, nada, nothing. First time I've ever eaten there and I will NOT be returning.

This place is very unprofessional. First thing first, I was charged 50 cent for a plastic utensil. Secondly, I was give nachos that was dry after not touching the nachos and told waiter he could take them back. Manager told me even tho I did not touch the nachos i would still be charged, because that is good he have to throw away. Thirdly, I was charged 2.00 for a small cup (the cup was the size of cup of sauce you get from raisin canes) then was spoiled! Then my chimichanga was small it has a total of 4 shrimps and was mostly bread! Next , I had to pay for fries that was drenched in grease! Lastly, gratuity was added in on a party of 4, whereas if u go somewhere it’s a party of 6 or more, the waiter did not check on us not one time nor give us a refill on drinks and made of 50$ n tips, but did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! This place is a get over’ made their own rules and taped it to the table. Which you can barely see it! Four hours away and money was just given to them! Nobody has money to waste on food that was not eaten. Leave out the door the same way you went in! Then the nerves to charge for a plastic utensil!!
To be around 5 years old this place is run down and dirty. We were handed a very sticky menu that we could barely flip through. Read the room and walked out
Yesterday we ordered to go from this establishment. Looking forward to a delicious meal but when I opened my Taco Salad it looked OK First taste I knew I had made a huge mistake. The so called chop meat was more like hamburger puree, quite discusting !! Wow what a mistake
Such a wonderful pace with amazinggggggggggg food and also has plenty of variety and options for vegetarians. The servers are so respectful. I would go here again and again and recommend anybody who wants to eat in peace and in good environment.
I have been wanting to try No Way Jose for a few years now and unfortunately for the restaurant location in Starkville this is not going to be a good review.Let me start off by saying that I was in the mood for a "Tex-Mex" cheese enchilada and according to their name that is the kind of restaurant they're supposed to be. That is laughable! I was born and raised in Texas and I know dang well what Tex-Mex is and what it isn't. I ordered 3 enchiladas (1 chicken and 2 cheese) and I specifically asked the waiter what kind of cheese they use and he said yellow...well he lied. If you don't know the menu, ask someone who does. The cheese enchiladas were made with white cheese which is NOT CORRECT FOR "TEX-MEX"!!!!!!! It may not seem like a big deal for most people but it was for me. The Tejano people of Texas is where Tex-Mex derives from so it's an insult when it isn't correct. Further more they were all luke warm and flavorless. Total disappointment on my end. Thankfully my husband enjoyed his meal but that was the only silver lining. I apologize for the length of this review but I had to vent my frustration about the fact that the restaurant is supposed to be Tex-Mex but they clearly don't know what that means. It is not the same as traditional Mexican food. It it something that we take pride in in Texas and when it is wrong, it's wrong.
First off, know this place has something for everyone. I had a Memphis Burger which was huge and messy! My wife had the fajitas, which she loved, and my son had the ribeye and shrimp. Steak was cooked a little too much but had a good flavor. Margs are really good as well.
My new favorite place. The food was excellent and service was great.
