The food is excellent! Prime rib is delicious. Shrimp and grits yum! Had graduation lunch there a few weeks ago. My only concern was for our daughter with celiacs. She spoke with the waitress and was assured the restaurant would prepare her salad with no croutons and she ordered the safe shrimp and grits. BOTH the salad and shrimp and grits came to the table with a large piece of bread on top of them. Both had to be sent back due to the gluten contamination. I think there is a need for better training regarding food allergies. Other than that we love the food and atmosphere.
We went to Harvey's for dinner after graduation on Friday. The place was packed. We had a party of 8 and our server Jessica did a phenomenal job all night. She was friendly and fun to chat with and made sure our plates were cleared and glasses stayed full. The food was incredible and the prices were comparable to the amount and quality of the food you get. If we are ever back in Starkville we will definitely be stopping in again.
This was my first high-end restaurant in Mississippi and I absolutely loved it. My drinks were made as requested, the food was delicious, and the service was great. Can't wait to try more of the menu items.
The only not great thing was that the cheesesticks we ordered could have gone a minute longer in the fryer. Besides that, everything else was perfect. The salads were crisp. The chicken was moist and flavorful. The shrimp and grits were very delicious. The drinks were stout. The service was amazing. Our server Sydney B. was friendly, welcoming, and always checking on us. This is still the best place to eat in fabulous Starkvegas.
The food was delicious and the employees are so kind. The restaurant was very clean too. I will be back ❤️
I'm guessing this place has had an overhaul. I had shied away from it for years due to dull reviews. Went with a group this trip. The decor was fresh and modern. The food well cooked. I had a truffle butter rib-eye...maybe a bit light on the truffle oil? But otherwise, staff did a good job, and the others in the party all indicated they had a great meal as well. I'd go back for usre.
My daughter and I were in Starkville to tour Mississippi State and she picked Harvey's for our dinner. Very nice, from their atmosphere, wait staff and food. TVs all around so if there's a game on, you can watch it. Our waitress (whose name escapes me) was prompt, talkative and willing to wait on us.I might add that the food could use a bit more salt when cooking, especially the mushroom appetizer. But if you have to have a low sodium diet, it's perfect. The bathroom could also use a cleaning, as there was an inch of dust around the top of the stall and around the air vent and toilet paper all over the floor.Overall, we'll be back when she attends State in the Fall.
Average fare. Lots of cream sauces and creamy everything. Decent wine selection.
Our favorite place to go when we visit our hometown. Best broccoli bites, crab cakes (when they had them - so sad), prime rib, soup, etc. etc. They always remember us and are so professional and nice! Also, Leah is amazing! Go see Leah or Harrison!
Spectacular service! Great food! Beautiful dining. I will become a regular when I visit Starkville.
