great food and drinks.. always enjoy it
My husband and I went with my 4 of our friends for an after church dinner at 12:20 on 7/10/2022. We ordered our food by 12:45—— RIGHT before our order was ready our server Ericka comes and tells me my order cannot be cooked due to the fact of being out of beef! I had ordered beef nachos! How can a restaurant be OUT of beef or any food item with Kroger right next door! Corporate should allow funds on site for emergencies like this!!!?? Ridiculous! So I asked the manager to substitute chicken… then he tells me they are out of queso. Meantime, everyone else at the table gets their food because I don’t want their food to be cold, or them hungry waiting on me! I think the kitchen communication SUCKS! This should have already been handled in a more timely manner! And the servers need to know when guests are ordering what is not available!!!!!! My hubs and friends had all finished eating…., I’m hungry and still NO food!!!! I ordered a third time and told them just make to go because I wasn’t going to have them wait on me to eat!!!! How embarrassing !!!!! Not to mention I was hungry!!! They didn’t pack it go so I had to wait AGAIN and then I had to ask for it and I had to pay for my Hubs……. Over an hour later at 1;45-2:00 (estimated time—- BUT WAY TOO LONG) we FINALLY paid out and I am home eating something I really didn’t want! It’s been a while since we chose to eat at Applebees and now I remember why……. I can promise I will tell all my friends about this experience. My friends had to ask for items and had also ordered a dessert to go that had to be asked for too because of a lack of attentiveness by the server… I guess she was “over” the situation and I complained about how the “ball was dropped…” ONE thing… manager on duty— AWESOME… he at least comped my meal….
Well, today my order reminded me of why do not eat at this restaurant. I ordered a Chicken tender platter. What I got was 6 amorphous blobs that I suppose should be chicken tenders, but this looks nothing like a tender to me. Even worse is that these “tenders” seem to be refried leftovers from lunch. In one word: disgusting. I won’t be back. The only reason I’m not going with one star is that the sever was very nice.
My steak and shrimp was cooked just the way I liked it. It was delicious
The food was ok but the drinks were not right. We order two perfect margaritas and long Island tea all were very sweet and could barely taste the alcohol
Left before we were seated. The hostess never addressed us. We stood at the door for a good while. The people ahead of us were seated with no smile from the hostess. We finally left.?
Great sever! Food not the best for an Applebee's did seem overbooked and understaffed might have been the problem.
12/17/21, evening. Waitress was inexperienced and unprofessional, including hovering over my spouse's shoulder while he paid the check and didn't collect any dirty dishes until we were gone. The onions in my Bourbon street chicken were nearly raw and the nacho appetizer was cold in some places and lukewarm in others--microwaved, most likely. They were out of the special Cheeto wings, we weren't told until after we had ordered them. Bartender couldn't tell me how many pours came in one of their shaker drinks (I just wanted to know how many drinks I was actually buying), and was sitting on her phone so my margarita took 20mins. Didn't bring this up to the manager because I got the feeling it wouldn't get me too far. We likely won't be back.
It was a good experience. There was a lot of people in the restaurant. There was a little bit of a wait.
Honest have mixed experiences with this place. I don't know if it's just the location or Applebee's in general.
