We got our name on the waitlist before we left the house and it cut down our wait to about five minutes. We did it via Yelp.We got our food quickly and it was very good. The iced latte was great, too!
Staks was such a good brunch spot! amazing pancakes! amazing people! 10/10 exceeded our expectations!
Usually the wait time us an hour and a half. I caught them on a Friday morning and got a table immediately. Everyone was friendly. The food was delicious.
Highly OverratedI was disappointed with my experience at Staks Pancake Kitchen in Southaven. The food wasn’t as tasty as I expected and the display was nothing like the photos on the website. Everything was sloppy. Also, for the price, my order should have been correct. I ordered stuffed French toast (which was supposed to be stuffed with cream cheese), and received bread with strawberry syrup on the side instead. No cream cheese. I was very disappointed. Also, most members of the staff were rude. Only one employee was nice. I spent $50 for mine and my daughter’s meals only to get McDonald’s level service and food.
The restaurant is awesome went their for the first time on Wednesday great customer service and awesome food (delicious) I would recommend Staks to other people..
Get rid of the manager and replace with someone that wants to make their customers happy and they could recommend this place to others. However at this point I would not even return myself. Food was horrible and he made no accommodations for exchange.
This was a TERRIBLE idea to drop in on my husband birthday! We get our food, both of our omelettes was overcooked,I took one bite and said naw this not it,and pushed it to the side! My husband ordered biscuits and gravy it was served to us COLD! My daughter had eggs with cheese it was COLD! I asked for a manager and he came over I told him our issue, I asked if my food could be replaced and he said to me "we don't do food do-overs, I said ok well can I choose something else, he stated " no ma'am"ok cool a few minutes go by and we didn't receive our hasbrowns that came with our order he goes on to. say that the system didn't put the hash browns order in! Then he takes my husband biscuits and gravy, my daughter eggs , heat them up in the microwave and bring it back, trifling instead of redoing it over! By this time I was ticked! I told my husband and daughter let's go and and we walked out and left EVERYTHING on the table!I walked over to him and told him that I was disgusted by the food and the way he handled us! That was a $60 waste! I will NEVER patronize this business again! As a manager he handled this very incorrectly!
I wanted to like this place. It was our first time in. We weren't familiar with the order process, which is a bit unusual. You are handed the menu when you walk in and told to get in line, order at the cash register and tell the cashier your assigned table number. So we walk in, the "hostess"( young girl in a sweatshirt and leggings) tells us all this very quickly and we are like, Wait, what? Do what? It is a little confusing for newbies. We were in very early but I have a feeling that if it is the least bit busy, a long line is gonna start if people are expected to stand in line and decide what they want. Are you a restaurant or a fast food place? It was odd to me. Having said that, I had hash browns and biscuits and gravy. It was good. The restaurant itself was very clean and cute. They do serve alcohol if that interests you. So the take away is I think that the management should be aware that perhaps a little more training may be necessary to teach the employees to explain things more clearly so that customers feel comfortable.
Go through the website to get on the waitlist...it's totally worth it! The pancakes are to die for, but the biscuits and gravy stole the show! It was worth the wait!
This place system for you to just eat sucks!Be ready to wait at least an hour for you to get in then make a line just to order and then wait another 30 to 45 minutes to get your food and be lucky just to get your food like you order it ! Mine was just awful! The pancakes are ok and the French toast are good! That is why I give them a star.
