Our waiter was the best I've had in the last few years, especially since the pandemic. I had not been into this restaurant for over a year due to bad service and food was not even good. This cook cooked our food "perfectly." It was very tasty. Our server "Sarge" was excellent and patient with us even though some of our party was late. We never asked for refills, she was right there with whatever our needs were. It made this experience the best for all 4 of us and my 2 yr old grandson. Thank goodness there are still waiters that appreciate good customers and let them know. If you go there ask for "Sarge" & you will see what a great server is. Every restaurant needs a leader like her. Tip her well, she's worth it
I would give this location a 0 star rating if possible. We had a group of 20 that they took almost 30 minutes to seat and the restaurant was basically empty. Then when being seated, the hostess says that our group couldn't sit together. We all had to sit at separate tables although the tables could have been easily brought together for us to be able to enjoy sitting together. The server was the highlight of the visit. He was on point. Let's get to the food. My order was simple fried shrimp, unfortunately they brought me out chicken fried shrimp. My shrimp was breaded with chicken flour. The taste was atrocious, the fact that people could be in the kitchen cooking a product like that was as strange as anything I have ever experienced. Another in our group was brave and ordered the salmon, it was over cooked times 10. I'm not sure how you over cook salmon but they made every effort to send out the worst possible product possible. Another in our group asked for pasta with no cheese three different times and they kept getting it wrong and sending it out with cheese. My advice to anyone considering going here would be to stay away from this restaurant and focus on restaurants of quality. Looking at this location and seeing that there aren't many cars should tell you exactly everything you need to know. This is a negative star restaurant. STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO GET SICK OR HAVE TO THROW ALL OF YOUR FOOD AWAY.
We were there yesterday and it took us an hour and a half to get our food, we did not have to wait for a table, not busy at all. 3 of the 5 people at our table had dinners come out wrong but since we were on a tight time schedule, we did not make a huge fuss. One steak came well done instead of med rare as ordered, I asked to sub pickles in place of jack wedges on app plate, was told they don't have jack wedges, so I told the waiter, ( who almost lost his pants several times) that I wanted the pickles. When my plate came, I was told they don't have the pickles anymore and they had put the jack wedges on instead. Another in the party ordered asparagus and turnip greens for sides and received broccoli and rice. Also a side salad with honey mustard came out with ranch. She did ask about her sides and he did bring her the sides she ordered, and she removed the hair and ate the 4 spears. We were there last year about the same time and the place was a bit busier, the service was slow, but the food was good. This year was my last trip. Not going to do that again.
Myself and 2 others ate around noon. Our server was awesome! He looked to be only one there and he couldn't have been any better! Drinks full, smile on his face the whole time. Food was so so but service is worth going back for sure!!
Customer service was good from the hostess to the waiter. Our wait time was average, no big complaints there. My only issue was the food. The food seriously lacked flavor, very bland. The chicken breast was cooked correctly, even juicy. The mashed sweet potatoes were kind of thick and the mac/cheese was sort of sticky. Probably will not be coming back.
Good service and food was fairly priced.
went there and was so excited bc the parking lot of empty and went to get a table for 2 and they said a 45 minute wait. there was literally 4 other cars in the parking lot and 3 tables occupied inside so I'm wondering how it was a 45 minute wait
We usually visit there if we are staying in Southaven and usually have a good experience. We prefer to sit at the bar.. There were 2 couples meeting for Sunday Lunch, who arrived separately. The parking lot was busy, but not full. The first couple asked if we could sit at the bar, and were told it would be 20 minutes before we would be served as the bar tender was waiting tables. The same wait if we had a booth. There was only one person sitting at the bar. We weren't in a hurry, and would have been happy to wait if we at least had a drink..but the greeter clearly didn't want our custom. We ended up leaving and the 2 couples spent nearly $200 in another bar over 7 hours... We won't be back to try again.
Very big disappointment. Waited over an hour to be seated. The manager was doing her best with only 3 servers and a couple of young men that were giving her trouble. Our waitress was very nice. My steak was well done instead of medium. She sent it back and everyone else was done by the time my steak finally arrived. It was still not right, but at that point, we just wanted to leave. 2 hours and 53 minutes and close to $150 for food that was simply edible at best. O'Charley's is certainly not the place it used to be.
