Crispy duck was good as always, though I could have used a bit more sweet sauce. I wanted one of their excellent green margaritas but they had allowed their liquor license to expire; so I had to make due with plum wine, which was okay. My wife had the crispy salmon skin sushi, which she liked very much. Garlic edamami appetizer is delicious. Dumplings and soup are just okay.
This place was fantastic. Super speedy service. Food was FANTASTIC. They gave a little chocolate pineapple dish for dessert and it came on the house and I thought somehow my bf tipped them off it was my birthday but apparently it’s a sweet standard dish they present. So when they figured out it was my b-day they gave us a fried cheesecake. TO. DIE. FOR. I wish I lived here cause I’d be a regular. I know where I’m returning for food when I visit MS.

I am sure most know how difficult it is to find good food and service these days. We went this past Friday and I can now say this is my new favorite Japanese restaurant. Great Food and Service!
This place has been on my list of places to try and I am glad I finally got to try because it was absolutely delicious. For the appetizer we got egg rolls which were great. As an entree we ordered the Chicken hibachi with yum yum sauce, sizzling Korean BBQ steak and Volcano rolls??. I enjoyed the soup and salad. We left extremely full and satisfied. It was packed inside but we did not have to wait very long for our food. Our waiter was very nice. The restaurant was clean. I have no complaints.
Keri and I decided to go have lunch and thought we would try somewhere new. Saw Naru, read the menu and decided that this would be the place to eat. It is a cozy open atmosphere with a decent selection of sushi, hibachi and udon as well as other miscellaneous goodies. We both had bento boxes, hers with chicken teriyaki and mine with nigiri. We also split a baked spicy hurricane roll consisting of crawfish, I also had hot green tea. The service was good and the food was most excellent, I look forward to coming back again in the near future.
Over-all good experience. Waitress was very nice and food was great.
We had dinner tonight and Eric was our waiter ! He was amazing! We was fixing to leave and go eat somewhere else and he came out and made us a table and got us sat down within 20 mins! All our foods and drinks came out all on time as well! We will definitely be back!! Thanks Eric!
What a great find for Valentine’s Day dinner while traveling through Southaven, MS. I looked on TripAdvisor for a nice Asian restaurant for dinner. Naru Japanese Steakhouse was rated the best. Our server Julia was attentive and friendly! My wife and I had the house salad and shared a California Roll, Salmon Roll, Gyoza (dumplings) and a Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything was exceptional! After asking for our check we were presented a complimentary pineapple desert which said “Happy Val Day” on the plate in chocolate (picture attached). What a nice touch on Valentine’s Day!!! This restaurant is an class act!!! I look forward to trying this Japanese restaurant again in the near future!!!
