This location is a hit or a miss. I ate from the Captain D's new location on Getwell in Southaven and the fish were crisper. The fries were about the same on crispness. But the other night the Fish n Chips was lackluster even soggy at my Southaven local. Next visit I hope I receive crispness. ITS ALL ABOUT THE CRISPY. lol. But it is.
Just left the Southaven, Mississippi located on Main St. I am disappointed in the quality of the food. Y’all have taken the prices up on the food but took the quantity away. Today I purchased (Four) 4pc Dinners with Loaded Baked Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. The fish is not fried like it use to be. It usually be crispy. The Mac & Cheese taste terrible and they literally gave us 8-10 noodles with watery cheese sauce with no type of flavor. I noticed y’all don’t give the same amount no more. Last month I ordered a 4pc dinner but with green beans and it was literally like 8-10 short cut green beans with a lot of juice. If you are cutting back on the quantity of food then you need to cut back on the prices. No other restaurant in this area has cut back on the food quantity only you all. Y’all need to do something about that because this isn’t going to work. Sooner or later everyone is going to be questioning the quantity of food we received.
This was a terrible experience I should have just turned around and walked out the door,when I seen how out of order things were. I ordered the catfish feast and a senior dinner my order was for dine in,my order was not bought to my table are the number on my ticket called.when I finally got my order the catfish looked liked catfish nuggets,the broccoli didn't look fresh,and the food on the other order wasn't any better the chicken was overcooked ,to make a long story short I asked for a refund i didn't touch the food it never left the counter.the so called manager told me I couldn't get a refund because after 12 minutes the system wouldn't let her do it,which I seriously doubt that,she started talking loud and crazy saying that costumers like me is messing up her day,and that she was going to quit her job,this could have been handled in a more professional matter all I wanted a refund,I will never visit this location again as long as people's like her are in charge,
I went through the drive through and the manger took my order. This manager was rude. I heard this location was under new management. I don’t eat Captain D’s often, but when I do I always have a good experience. This visit today was not a positive experience and I am quite disappointed in the manager’s behavior.One thing’s for sure, I did get the message. This manager does not want any customers.
Great food! It was very fresh and delicious! Drive through line was horrendous though. But in my opinion, it was worth the wait
Check the bag. They always forget the appetizer etc. However, the food is always good. Like really good. One of the better D's around
Had to fedo order...gave my original to another...but manager took time to explain and make ammemds...friendly staff.....need to ask for more napkins
Great hushpuppies were great...hot. Shrimp was hot...however the fries were trash...cold?.Green beans...ok.CUSTOMER SERVICE OUTSTANDING...QUICK SERVICE!
Simply put, the fish was as tough as meat! Room temperature as well as the Mac n cheese. I thought Captain D's cooked to order their food? This has definitely been sitting up for a while, I love the food and visit different locations all the time but this was disappointing.
So, this Captain D's didn't have butter either. Is it that hard to get butter from suppliers? ? Every grocery store I frequent has butter on the shelves. BUT anyways, the food was fantastic. I skipped the baked potato, and went for a double order of green beans, okra, and the catfish. It did not disappoint. The fish was hot, ND fresh. Not double battered..., lightly coated and seasoned well. The green beans were perfectly seasoned, not over salted. ? And I also tried the funnel cake sticks. What a sweet, light treat to share with the family!! I gave the 4 stars only because of the lack of butter. Hopefully the next Captain D's is stop at while visiting down south will have butter.
