I was delighted with the pastries here. Initially out-of-state when I stumbled across this place online, I vowed to visit it once back in the area. I had the maple bacon donut (it's to die for). My dad had the lemon blueberry PeaceTart and said that it was the best pastry he'd ever had. I have been here twice now and definitely plan on coming back. Make sure to come during a time you have a sweet tooth because the icing on the pastries can be very sweet!
I always stop by for a peace tart (some call them pop tarts) and a cute little gemstone to treat myself any time I’m in the area. On the pricier side for sure but I promise you won’t find this type of quality + taste at any other corporate run bakery!!
Love this shop. The hostess cupcakes are my new favorite cupcake. Everything always looks great and taste even better. The staff always greets me when I walk in, and even in these times of being understaffed they always have smiles on their faces and go the extra mile.
While bumming around in the town I came across this business. They sell cakes, coffee and cacti ?. It's a unique place and the cakes looked amazing. They also have various pastries. There was room to order a treat and sit and eat, but we decided to walk around outside instead. Everything looked clean and the customer service was great. This looks like the kind of place that does a lot of desert catering. Coffee was good and decently priced too.
Great appearance in the show case..... terrible hard and dry cupcakes when I got them home, I guess looks can be deceiving.
The desserts are very well decorated, but the substance and textures are often off.
The owner pours her heart and soul into this business; it’s quite evident in the quality of the products. I’ve seen many complain about the prices.. Fellow patrons, if you want cheap, go to the local corporate run donut shop. If you want true art, to support local and unique taste, go to the prickly hip! No, I don’t work there. I’m a huge advocate for small business and for getting what I pay for. I paid in the hundreds for a magical *custom* cake for my daughters birthday two years ago that she still talks about today! The attendees are were floored that a cake could be so pretty and taste so good. They were accustomed to pretty cakes tasting like bitter fondant. Not PH cakes! You pay more but for the quality, beauty, and taste! If you can get that at your normal run of the mill bakery, go ahead, but as for my family and I, we are 100% loyal to the PH!
Ordered a special birthday cake for my wife and the experience was great and the final product was beautiful and DELICIOUS. Ordering a cake can be pricey, but there are pre-prepared cakes in store available to first-come.
Very quaint shop that sells cacti and espresso and desserts. We had the coffee, cookie and homemade apple pie pumpkin spice poptart. The poptart stole the show. We will be back.
the donuts? amazing. the ambiance? PERFECT. Plus they have vegan options!!!!! This place means everything!
