Unassuming restaurant with delicious food. Atmosphere is upscale with the feel of your neighborhood pub. Food is elevated southern fare that will ensure that you come back again. Service was great.
I have eaten at Local 463 many times over the years and have yet to ever have a poor quality meal or experience. The quality of the food is only rivaled by the great nature of the staff. For a truly great meal experience, do not miss out on this opportunity.
Generally good but somewhat expensive restaurant so the expectation is they will control what they can control pretty well. Ordered a $75 steak tonight medium and got it almost cold in the center it was so rare. Sent it back, which I almost never do, and it came back still looking like raw meat. I don't know if they have a problem with their chef but they should invest in a meat thermometer if they're going to charge $75 for a steak.
On this Saturday night we wanted to try a different restaurant. I called Local 463 and asked if there was a wait. The female that answered said “no, if you can be here in 5 minutes we can seat 2 people”. We arrive and are told by an older female (rather rude at that) that they were not taking anymore walk in diners. I explained that I had just called and she told me to come on in. She said. “We just changed the policy”. What the heck. Is that how you treat your would be diners. I always heard this was a great place but I guess only to certain people. I would give this place ????????????????????. First impressions really do count.
The wine selection is, well, abhorrent. The bar is a very strange height, which itself could be corrected with slightly higher seating, but I guess they just didn't see that as a problem. The staff seem to be a group of introverts forced to do a job they don't want to do, but need to for money. The food, I mean, this is just dressed up street food, you'd be better served getting food truck food at a fraction of their ridiculous prices. I guess the people of Mississippi just don't know much better, but when you compare this to food in other places, for the price, you're getting robbed at knife and fork point.
Food is really good and well executed (compliments to chefs). Highly recommend the beef ribs and grits. Really tender, melts in your mouth.
Decided to go out an celebrate for our 8th Anniversary! We were very disappointed. It took 40 min to get our appetizer. People around us came in at the same time, got their appetizer and food and left before we even got the appetizer. Yes I know it takes time, but we ordered tuna tartar, nothing to “cook” When I asked about the wait, our waitress is like it will come. No concern. The food was ok. The redfish was over cooked and dry, and very fishy from part of the skin still attached. The mashed potatoes were my favorite part. Jason wanted medium rare duck and it was cooked well, but still tasted ok. We never were asked by anyone how the food tasted, and never saw a manager to voice our concerns. I am not one to leave bad reviews but for over $100 I would like to enjoy my food and not the best part be the potatoes
Amazing! A must-dine!Appetizer: sautéed crab clawsEntrees: Dr. pepper braised short ribs& the redfishDessert: bread pudding (bananas and homemade ice cream with rum sauceThe reservations were quick and easy. The service was stellar. It’s on the pricy side but worth it! Lovely atmosphere. We WILL be back!!
Wow, from the service to the food everything was great. The redfish and the rosemary chicken were so delicious!
My wife and I had a rare date night so we decided to try somewhere we haven't been. We were not disappointed in our choice to have dinner at Local 463! The staff went above and BEYOND and the food was excellent. Derrick and Jennifer know the value of great customer service. Thank you!
