Stopped here for dinner on vacation trip. The food was very good, service was impeccable. Would highly recommend the redfish entrees. I had stuffed redfish, hubby had redfish florentine and both were good. And try the side of green gadoo. ? Note that it is quite loud when the place is full but the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
I looked at the website before I went and was excited that they had live music every night! They also have drink and food specials every day. I was craving fish and redfish is on special on Monday. So, we went on a Monday and the place was packed! We sat ourselves and were greeted promptly. Service was great. Very friendly people. Drinks arrived promptly. A man with a guitar was singing familiar songs. Ordered Tammy's Tomatoes as an appetizer and it was excellent. My daughter and I both got redfish specials. Both had a stuffing of some kind that was very good. My chief complaint is the fish was WAY OVER COOKED!! It was very very tough and dry. Maybe I have watched too much food network, but a fish is done when the flesh flakes. Pretty disappointed in that. It is pretty expensive so I expected better cooking technique. The bread pudding we had for dessert is some of the best I have had and I am from New Orleans where bread pudding is a staple. Overall, weighing the good and the bad, it ends up at average for me.
Our waitress had no personality, looked like she should have been working at Pop's Around the Corner bar in South Jackson and she was coughing all over the place, including over our table and food. My side was listed as sauteed Italian green beans but it was just over-boiled mashed Italian green beans, with no flavor. First time eating here and won't be back.
My husband and I love Kathryns for a go to steak dinner for date night. Great atmosphere, amazing food, good music and great customer service.

Never got our food. Waited two hours and asked 3 times. Everyone else was getting their food. By then it was 9 pm and they were closing so we paid our tab and left. No one even apologized. Contacted them about the poor service and they send a form email stating someone from management would contact us and no one ever did.
