It’s not all games and fun, it’s SO MUCH MORE! I’ve hung out here many times. This time I happened to catch a local performance of Uproar Theatre’s The Tipsy Bard: Shakespear’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.Whilst I watched this modern version of a classic set in New Orleans, I got to drinkith and eateth. I know what tire thinking, quite with the Shakespearean speak.Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)Environment: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)The new patio is awesome and comfy. The fans really help even when it’s warm outside and it started pretty dry even with some rain.Inside they have amazing custom decor based around games from a local game design studio, Certifiable. They have games available to play or you can bring your own.Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)Can I give them a 10? The entire team was friendly and attentive.Technology: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5)They used a new process (Toast QR Codes) for tables outside to order during the show. While the app itself has a few bugs, it didn’t take away from my ability to order and the staff seamlessly worked with it to deliver orders to tables during the play. For a 1st time use I was impressed do added this category rating.Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)While I enjoyed everything I ordered, AND it’s good, it’s not worth the price tier. However when you combine it with all of the other aspects like environment and service, it becomes a bit more justifiable.Pictured:Brii Town Burger (whole and 1/2 cut) - caramelized onions, American/Swiss cheese blend melted on a burger between two slices of crack wheat toast. It was perfectly cooked (they cook all burgers med-well).Hungry Hero App - Country pleasin sausage, sweet heat pickles, garlic toast, pimento cheese. So yummy and that pimento cheese is addictive and goes with everything. The White Flag - Smoked brisket, mushrooms and Swiss (also usually comes with caramelized onions but my friend had them left off), on Gambino’s Italian Poboy with side of au jus.Butter Beer - tickle your muggle taste buds with this delightful magical drink. One of my faves.Isle of Shrimp - a quesadilla with Monterey/cheddar blend, green bell peppers and onions with a side of chipotle bacon ranch.Ravenclaw - a blueberry cocktail enjoyed while watching the play.
DogMud should be your go to fix when you’re craving a great hot dog or fun atmosphere. With every visit the decor becomes more compelling. Trivia and game nights are great for all ages. Great bar menu. Tasty food. Definitely try it out!
Was excited to visit this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. With the right company you are going to have a ball! Food was good. Hopefully, they get more solid (filling) dishes soon.
Love the atmosphere in this tavern. I love to play board games, eat, and drink. This place has all of it! The first visit I was meeting for the first Friday Certifiable Game Night. Had never been here. Sat at the bar and drank a Mango Cart beer. Had their spiced wine, it tasted weird but I still ended up having a few more cups. Joined some random people in an Uno game. Love that the people don't mind you asking if you can play with them. The art on the walls is marvelous. There's always a joinable trivia game on the front tv. The side TVs are either anime or someone playing a game.100% Definitely try this place out.
Previous customer reviews tell the story in perfect detail, so I'll just add my two cents. Second time going here, unique and fun atmosphere, great beer list, super friendly and attentive staff, and in general just a neat place to hang out with friends and unwind while playing some fun games. Whether you're a board game person, old school video game nut, or don't care about games at all but enjoy a tavern atmosphere, this is the place for you.
A one of a kind gaming tavern. There are 100s of board games you can play as well as arcade and video game classics such as Super Mario Bros and Zelda. It's fun to check out all the gaming related art pieces as well. I have been here several times. The drinks are pretty good. Most of the items on the food menu are not worth trying (brisket was way too fatty, peanut butter cake was way too dry, deviled eggs were crusty on top, Mac and cheese was unremarkable, skillet cookie was bland). The one item I do love to get is the Pizza. The crust is made from a local pizza place and it is delicious. Check this place out! Get a game, a drink, and some pizza!
Until recently, I had no idea the Jackson area had a gaming themed restaurant like this. I pass by often and thought I’d look them up. I saw the pictures on Instagram and had to try it.They didn’t disappoint. The food and even menu were all themed. They have a bunch of board games you can grab and play.I was conservative and went with the daily special of pizza and a side salad. I did grab a Krackin taco. I want to try some more of the specialized items.Bonus: they were filming a commercial while we were there. The owners seemed good natured and funny. For more food and travel content, find us on IG: @Bobbymontg and @HeathersLG
Wonderful atmosphere, the waitstaff was really nice and prompt, food was very good also. Loved the retro games, brought back lots of memories
Went for the first time tonight to Dogmud Tavern and it was a fun experience! The themed cocktails were good, the food was delicious, but the best part was the vibe of the place was relaxed and great for conversations for the table! I played a fun quick little card game with my sweetheart (they have TONS to choose from on the back wall to play with your table for free!) overall a pretty awesome place for a Friday night with the guys or gals! Or even just a weekend night, they are open until 10 most week nights which is late for the area! Yummy food and cool vibes!
The atmosphere here is fantastic. The food was quite good. The service was second to none. I actually got to meet one of the owners and asked him if he had a particular game. He didn't (no big deal). Apparently that was unacceptable to him and he took it upon himself to go to 2 different stores and found the game we asked about and bought it so we could play it. Will definitely go back!
