My wife and I had our first date here and so naturally we rented their space for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. The amount of attention, care, and overall just making sure everything ran smoothly was amazing. I would strongly recommend using The Growler to host your events. Stephen and Krisi really care about their customers and the community and it shows through in their business and how they run it.For a town that loves it's libations there are not a ton of craft beer options. The Growler strongly scratches that itch. A stellar rotation of craft beers from all over, good food and you can even get a great cocktail too if beer isn't your thing. 10/10
I love the flight of beers. It's around $12 and you get to try a variety of beers. I enjoy the atmosphere as well.
Was in Oxford for a wedding. If you are a craft beer enthusiast, The Growler is THE PLACE to go in Oxford. Their selection, about 20 taps, was outstanding with some very unique beers. Lots of local and other southern breweries represented. Wait staff behind the bar were very knowledgeable of all their offerings. Definitely search this place out. It's off Lamar St. which is off The Square. They also offer some food but we had dinner reservations elsewhere. Some tables outside are nice but if drinking inside, remember you're there for the beer, not the ambiance. Will definitely be back when I visit my brother again.
Food and drink were excellent if you are looking for “pub food.” Owner and staff were extremely hospitable and made excellent recommendations. We were here for a college vista and will come back without question.
Have I really never reviewed the Growler. Well … first …. Just go. Have beer. Eat pretzels and beer cheese and anything else on the menu. The food is so good. They have expanded and taken over the candy store… added a full bar. Play games. Enjoy each other. The Growler is cool and chill.

Came here for board games and some good food after spending all day with my daughter on the Square and it did not disappoint. They've always had a great selection of drinks, but this was my first time eating here. I had the honey chicken sandwich while my daughter got one of the hot dogs and both were very tasty. Nice, quiet and cozy place.
Best tap selection within 1 hour of oxford. Great flights. Only problem is I can't try all the options in one visit!!
Wonderful bartender - Patton took such great care of us. He was friendly and provided quick service, even though they were short staffed that night.
Friendly staff, great atmosphere and a superb selection of craft beer. This is a great place to hangout and try all kinds of different beers.
